Yesterday, I've changed my Apogee GT to GTZ and guess what, there's no difference in temp smile.gif Even if it does, it's more like 1-2C difference. Not bad for the extra RM160 I paid for it? laugh.gif

Eeeh on load/idle?
Could be also due to ambient or stuck processor sensor sweat.gif
But then again GT to GTZ temp difference should not be huge also laugh.gif
Maybe i7 see bigger difference smile.gif
Hmmm look at it,think you pay the premium for bragging right/look/easier mounting lor laugh.gif

Yes, you would be able to see difference. The trick is always about how fast/good you can cool the water running in the loop. There's a limit on what the water block can do.

Yes, it's about the same and at most 1-2C difference. CPU WB has been evolving a lot and those reviews always puts it nicely but from my experience in changing blocks, it doesn't really yield a lot of difference sad.gif A little regret for paying so much more for the GTZ but then again, I get i7 bracket which I can use in future laugh.gif It might be the processor thermal sensor too like you said because I've owned quite a number of Wolfdale and all of them gave different temps. No ideas what Intel is doing biggrin.gif

woah.. thats big.. the fins kinda dense.. for the shrouds u can use a wooden plank cut 4 square holes on it and stick it to ur heatercore then screw 4 fans on it.. hmm.. wink.gif

@IcEMoCHa
its not that big actually...it cant fit more than 1x12cm fan...if i use a metal shroud made from sheet metal...how do i stick the metal to the heater core?
at first i thought of buying a heater core i found earlier which have perfect size for mounting 2x12cm fans...but the conditon of the item is very bad..if not... drool.gif drool.gif 4xFFB1212EHE...

i see.. what is the dimension of it anyway?... actually u need more static pressure than airflow as the fins are dense(not sure as photo too small).. possible to fit 2x8cm fans?..

Susaiput, u need a fan with serious static pressure, the fin are rather dense.... not to mention some serious noise maker..

may be u should consider making an enclosure to seal the fan and heater core together to cut the noise.

@IcEMoCHa
i think if 2x8 can fit...

@LExus65
ermmm...static pressure?im noob in this...can u xplain in more detail pls...currently ive got 2xffb1212ehe which i planned to use on the heatercore...

is it statice pressure increase = cfm decrease?

i tot of making a full fan shroud...cuz i saw a tutorial vid on the internet on performance shroud made for 2x12cm fans...

static pressure means the pushing force.. if u use high cfm fans with low pressure to blow at ur heatercore with dense fins, then only little amount of air will go thru therefore reducing the cooling performance.. usually smaller fans with high cfm have more static pressure than big fans with huge cfm.. smile.gif

I don't see anything wrong with that setup as I used to have my dual radiator on top of my Cosmos with 2 fans blowing out from the casing.

I think it is more or less the same (since I have it in front of my Lian Li now). After a quick while and things would be fine biggrin.gif Btw, I'm running on distilled water only, no coolant.
