QUOTE(amok @ Dec 27 2005, 12:45 PM) well, from prior experience.. with automotive additives temps are higher about 1~1.5 C... bear in mind that automotive additives are meant for anti-rust, anti-boil and anti freeze... it will of course effect the liquid properties in terms of viscocity, specific heat cap., etc... the list goes on and on.. cheyh... 486DX konon... like I said.. uzai is goin big time with his next project, ordered a Storm G4 block, cant wait, cant wait.. unlike us still using our 486DX rig hurm.... i guess might be pumping out my current coolant right now and replace with distilled water... distilled water = ~~ RO water mesin tepi kedai (20 sen per liter) issit? |

QUOTE(amok @ Dec 27 2005, 09:41 PM) RO water???? what's R. O. stand for? Rip Off? nanti wa kasi check mesin tu got UV bathing filtered or not...hehe Distilled water is pure demineralized water which means it's pure H20 without any nutrients(which not good for drinking). It's a bit expensive last time I've got it about RM12 per 4 gallon bottle. Mebbe the "mesin tepi kedai" Rip Off water is filltered water, check wheter it got UV bathing filtered, if got than uzairi@ YEAH!!!! Long live the 486DX clan |

i'm pretty interested in getting Black Ice Pro III Fang is selling right now...
just wanna ask gurus² here if my asetek Hydor L20 700/hr pump got enough power to squeeze the water through the tripled 120mm rad? but i personally think the pressure might be not be sufficient, coz asetek using Hydor L30 1200l/hr for tripple rad there..... but just like to hear everyone opinion first... if can fit i hope can used 3x low dB fan to replace my current 38db 120mm fan here.. QUOTE(almostthere @ Jan 6 2006, 07:33 PM) Dude, when ur going triple row, it's best you go for the highest headpressure rated pump as the resistance would be too great for the poor L20 in the first place I assure you. bai bai triple row |

i'm gonna gone mad later if this bugging pumps problem keeps irritating me and wetting all over my table with water...waduhhhh
last night i try replacing the nirox there with asetek hydor one which i believe was faulty due to lightning strikes on last saturday....i cut the power cable that connected to the 240v - 12v converter (device control) supplied together and connected it back with a direct 220~240v cable... and surprisingly it works but i have some problems in making the pumps suck some waters from the reservoir to proceed into the loop...as it's only sucking on bl@@dy air's inside it..i try to shake the pump and reservoir off but still cannot make the water go trough...waduhh.... all i was hoping now only to get a nice working pumps... if i'm getting my self an Eheim 1048, do i need to do some minor mods to the pumps apart from changing the barbs? arghh tensi tensi.. |

QUOTE(almostthere @ Jan 19 2006, 12:09 PM) Firstly, ur connectors too tight isit? If too tight also the water vacumm edi la. I remember kena this problem when reassembling for my friend his Air Besar. Had to unhook one pipe to let water flow thru. Secondly, is the pump really pumping or not? Best way to test is to rendam it inside a pail and flick the switch. If got air pancut then working la the connectors using the asetek push-fit one.... i've tried rendam it inside the pail and got water pancut and coming oledi...but when attached it to the system and pour some coolant into the reservoir...the pumps seems like only pumping air through the loops...i'm thinking of tilting the pump with the reservoir outlet on top of the pump inlet there..hope gravity will do me some goods in helping the propeller jump start with some waters in it... bro @amok : is the eheim 1048 barbs can be unscrewed and change to my 10mm barbs?...coz see the eheim specs come 1/2" bards as standards...and newb question here... can eheim 1048 enough to push through triple rad... pump rosak pun tak sedar diri lagi nak pakai triple rad..hahaha |

QUOTE(almostthere @ Jan 19 2006, 03:33 PM) Means kena air lock edi laa fren. Unhook one end of the loop so that water can flow freely then should work out then. And for the eheim pump, see if the threadings allow for ur barbs mounting or not? If cannot then cannot loh. Same for us Nirox users maa. And 1048? Not worth looking at for triple row core usages if mau OC. Bole jalan mmg bole jalan. si sapik78 used to do that on his rig. But better to look at the 1250, D4's or the 50Z if u want serious power. Or check amok's budget pump shoot out review in the stickies. ya loh bro...i think kena air lock lah there...will try it out later...hopefully everything will be okey lah after this...waduh.. |
