Seriously sufficient is enough, you don't need an overkill PC to support those softwares.
I'm using my c2d which is quite old PC and running both software without any problem. Only rendering time will be slower. |

QUOTE(darkdrew @ Mar 27 2011, 01:04 PM) Just custom-made your own rig with pro's recommended specs and you're off to go. it might not even reach 4K since 3K is already quite sufficient unless you got a lot of budget and just simply wanna be better. Mind you too, your power usage. |

Well actually for RM3000 ~ RM4000 without a monitor, you could get :
Intel Core i7 2600 - RM899 Gigabyte P67A-UD3 - RM495 2x 4GB DDR3 1333MHz KVR - RM258 Lite ON DVD Drive - RM69 Corsair F60 60GB Solid State Drive - RM439 Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB ( HD103SJ) / - RM169 / Hitachi 1TB -RM160 / Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 3 - RM174 Leadtek Winfast GTX460 1GB OC - RM549 Silverstone Strider 600W - RM279 Cooler Master 690 II Advance - RM339 Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits OEM - RM299 RM3795/ RM3786 / RM3800 This build comes with a Solid State Drive and an OEM version of the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits ( operating system). You can install the operating system onto the Solid State Drive as well as any other important programs that you use to have them loading quickly. Do note that you will want to get the 64 Bits version of Windows 7 Home Premium, otherwise you will not be able to utilize more than 4GB of RAM. Alternatively, if you require a monitor, then : Intel Core i7 2600 - RM899 Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H B3 - RM469 2x 4GB DDR3 1333MHz KVR - RM258 Lite ON DVD Drive - RM69 Corsair F60 60GB Solid State Drive - RM439 Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB ( HD103SJ) / - RM169 / Hitachi 1TB -RM160 / Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 3 - RM174 Leadtek Winfast GTS450 1GB GDDR5 - RM399 Gigabyte Odin GT 550W - RM169 ( From Jayacom. ) Cooler Master 690 - RM259 Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits OEM - RM299 Dell U2311H 23" LCD Monitor - RM609 ( Dell Online ) RM4034 / RM4025 / RM4039 This build has the Dell U2311H 23" LCD Monitor, which is utilizing an e-IPS panel. An IPS panel presents better color reproduction and accuracy over monitors that are using TN panels instead. It would probably help in what you're doing Edit : All of the parts except the Gigabyte Odin GT 550W can be from at Viewnet. The reason why there are three hard disks listed is because they have similar performance. Your priority would be to get the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB ( Model HD103SJ ) drive first. Otherwise, if it's not available, take the Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB and finally the Hitachi 1TB if the second hard disk drive is unavailable. QUOTE(MjMax15 @ Apr 3 2011, 09:43 AM) any gaming pc spec will do. But, you will be missing performance like this.im using photoshop CS3 + Illustrator for rendering so far no problem with my AMD Phenom 2 955 3ds Max 2010, Photoshop CS5 and other Adobe CS5: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/sandy-...0k,2833-15.html X4 955 is not even on the chart. Why on the earth there's so many nonsense like Dual GeForce GTX 590 SLi and Phenom II X4 above?
Dual GeForce GTX 590 SLi, not gonna help also. Rendering power is based on Processor ONLY. Or even with CUDA Rendering, you don't need such powerful Gaming GPUs. Better off with Quadro GPUs(Workstation based GPU) already. This is better for Viewport but it can't play games only. LOL. Phenom II X4 is way too slow and TS can afford Core i7 with his budget. TS, you just follow TristanX and TDUEnthusiast. They're veteran in PC. Thanks. I hope you don't get CONNED or MISLEAD by some random people.
