Android Phone Recommendation thread v2, Confused? Torn between two phones?

Hey all, planning to buy my 1st smartphone.
- Using for normal functions, mp3 and some light games.
- Planning to root and install custom roms
- Might underclock if can extend battery life.
Based on my usage, do you guys recommend getting
- Optimus 2X,
- Desire HD, Galaxy S, Galaxy SL, Incrediable S, Optimus Black
- Galaxy Ace?
When playing games like Angry Birds is there noticeable difference using phones with Tegra 2, Adreno 205 and Adreno 200?
