benchmark performance better & oso heard to be more power efficient? o.o

but if they really wanted to buy, they could had just do some searching & got ur thread earlier before u have to come over here & ask...

around 1.4~1.5k for AP

desire S far or less the same like IS/DHD [proc, screen reso, display type etc.]

desire S cheaper & more compact than them
not sure it got locked bootloader like HTC IS or not

possible because its dual-core era, who want be slowpoke..
especially LG Optimus 2X price are quite threatening [1899 RRP u get DC Tegra2] & those HTC which were famous for bootloader unlock for users' "freedom" are now gone [starts with locking the Incredible S]
so if they dare to throw neo/pro in 1.3k~ budget could kill mid-high end markets

impossible because 99% same spec as Arc [1.8~1.9k?] while ur neo/pro just came in with 1.2k~ price tag somehow offers a videocall camera [pro got keyboard somemore] as well
much like civil betray their leaders

of course, arc still got what it takes...

1.5k could get DEFY for the tough android & swim with it

i personally prefer arc for single core
nice out-look, good camera [can said as the best in android & the best in low-light performance], LED-backlit LCD screen with BRAVIA engine display..

SGS2 launched on SK & UK, maybe can get AP few weeks later...

no doubt, se x10 is better sga
however, i not sure flash game can play anot
as now x10 is 2.1, not 2.2 hence no full flash support, hope the 2.3 update will bring it for x10~

Nokia don't have Android OS devices

LG Optimus Black is not released yet...no clues about its price though
SGSL & Optimus Black basically runs on the same 1GHz TI OMAP 3630 Processor
SGA is out from your choice because no flash & people say it got possibility of SOD occurs

the cheapest choice would be SE XPERIA x10/Acer Liquid Metal S120 [around 1k+]
but they dun hav gorilla glass though..
x10 is probably the best cameraphone to date with in Android [yes it is, before Arc arrive]
promised 2.3 official update[hopefully will bring full flash support], mediascape UI will be replaced by the SE latest UI for 2.3 though

u might as well consider DEFY if u want something tough & can even go bath with your phone, record video under water

if u consider SGSL, u can get SGS/captivate/vibrant AP set though which has Super AMOLED
why Super AMOLED?
SGSL has SCLCD [not SLCD], its quite decent but not as good sunlight legibility/battery efficient as Super AMOLED
also, SGSL is noticed for the much heavier weight compare to SGS & slightly weaker GPU/chipset

Desire HD for those who like superb big screen but just LCD display (4.3"), unlocked bootloader but much weaker battery, heavier/bulkier than DS/IS

so after all, its back to own preference between those 3

but i will choose SE XPERIA Arc > HTC IS/DHD/DS
reason: best cameraphone in android + best low-light camera performance, good outlook - SE XPERIA Arc with the Exmor R sensor + BRAVIA Engine display
arc runs on the same 1GHz snappydragon processor, comes with 2.3, better camera & screen display, nice outlook, slim & light weight
got HDMI port etc.

not really possible for all phones to always able to get the latest version [can get custom ROM though if official don't provide]
as hardware will get better & better, then will start to have hardware limitations
even you got the latest version, some feature might not available
like android 2.2 full flash support, has a hardware limitation [at least VGA, 550MHz dedicated Cortex A8 processor etc.] & the HTC Sense 3.0 UI needs dual core or [1.5GHz single core for the HTC Flyer tablet]

yes, updated, x10 got 2-point-multi-touch so can pinch zooming
as its current OS is 2.1, maybe will jump 2.2 & straight to 2.3 with flash

just "size" matters, so back to own preference

oh yeah, another thing is Incredible S has a unique thing
the capacitive key will auto-rotate

but basically, just the same usage except looking cool

the hardware is capable to support, but its locked...
after custom ROM/update, its good to use

if HTC maybe got some pretty aged 2nd hand Desire bah
2nd hand Wildfire is not recommended due to the low reso screen, proc speed can get in a lower price & ori

i vote for SE Arc

think simple:
display ain't that important, important is screen resolution that will affect the limits of apps compatible with your device, since both are WVGA, so this problem is out.
now talks about UI, its back to own preference, some like vanilla[purest form of Android]

so just move your butt to some store & try the phone out & you will know what to get
