Changing from old school cell phone to smartphone first time 

Need recommendation 

Criteria:
1. ORIGINAL (No AP  )
2. Budget: PREFERABLY <1.2k forum price (max 1.5k)
3. Capacitive, >3.5 inch screen, average RAM and CPU
4. Main usage: FAST SMS, surfing web using wifi, taking photo (have Acer A500, want a smartphone to do what a tablet can't do, or bad at it, thus the low budget)
5. Most important: GOOD camera (not asking for DSLR quality  ), not only in terms of MP, but also the quality of the photo produced (heard some smartphones that have 5MP camera but photo quality is worse than 2MP)
6. Question: Is CAMERA FLASH an important requirement for GOOD photo taking, especially at night? (Like Galaxy S which doesn't have LED flash while Ace have  )

Should i opt for SGS I instead? Hmm....if buy present for someone else....need ask the store salesman to install anything or not..

I like the apple still. why not try iphone 4?

Actually, it's not the case that I cannot live without a physical keyboard granting my horrible experiences with the touch keyboard on my resistive touch screen HTC Touch HD that I owned previously.

I was allowed to play with my friends SGS today and the keyboard was decent. I do know however, that I have small problems while typing with my iPod touch.

X5 is better than x10. smoothness. faster GPU, big 2GB internal memory , no laggy UI
just its screen is smaller @ 3.8"
not bad for @RM820 phone

Beats the x10 in a few factors. Gaming wise, ram wise and build quality wise.

Official GB launching somewhere in Q4 according to forumers here.

1. Brand - Except Nokia
2. Budget. - 1.5k-2.1k
3. Specs - Processor (as long as it won't lag while multitasking)
              - not too big the screen size
4. What you need in the phone
    GPS, Battery Life at least a day, online (what normally a smartphone does)

Actually i planned to get a decent smartphone. my first choice is galaxys2, but due to its bulky look i kinda reluctant to get it. i prefer a size which goes max as big as an iphone4. iphone is definately out of budget for me. any good recommendation?

i was looking thru the android forums and i saw there's some good response in the CSL mi-410, basically a rebranded huawei x6.
it runs gingerbread, has 1gh and 4.1inch screen while huawei x5 is only 800mhz with 3.8 screen.
the RRP is only RM799. have a look at it and let me know what u think.
