coz the chip u buy is non-negotiable chip. this chip only issue at the cashier when u purchase and is not exchangeable to cash. when u place the bet, u lose, the dealer take ur chip, when u win, they give u cash chip (can change to cash). Eg. u bet 3k on banker, u win, they give u 3k cash chip, so total u have 3k cash chip 3k nn chip. 3k cash chip can change to cash, nn cannot change to cash still. so this game roll i will say a bit slow.in another example, u play roulette, instead of buy big/small, u buy 18 number, which is 1 to 18 at RM100 per number. if u lose, 1.8k gone, if u win, then they pay u 3.5k cash chip, so total u have 100 nn chip, 3.5k cash chip. as long as it is nn chip, cannot change to cash, that's why they call it non-negotiable chip.
