hi. i would like a question,dont know if this a correct place to do so..

this laptop equip with 64 bit windows.is it ok..,i mean, compare to 32 bit,is there any weakness/shortcoming? or 64 bit windows work just like 32 bit one?

meaning,with 64 bit windows we can put more than 4gb ram,but with 32 bit windows,we stuck with only 4gb ram?wow..then that means 64 bit better than 32 bit la?

Currently I am in US and not bringing my 4830TG with me. I discovered acer.com.my has a link to the Intel Sandy Bridge chipset issue. You may key in your 4830TG to verify your unit is affected or not.

- 3D capable gpu (eh..wait...gt540m too)
- JBL speakers
- the BRAND
- warranty stuff (one of da best IMO)
anyhow, da design's ugly.LOL

i sure hope the 3299 price tag, is for the highest variant. the core i7 one. cannot find da price for core i5 tho...

battery is build in..so wht of the advantage of it..i`m scared using it too much would effect the battery life..i used to use a laptop removable battery..so when im at home..i just remove the battery n used it with power supply on to save battery life..now wht im gonna do with my new laptop timelinex to save battery life..i loved it..coolest acer laptop had ever made just slack at built in battery

a question,how to how hidden file in win7?

i am getting this 4830tg probably this week at pc fair, but can install windows xp on it and does it come with recovery CDs like any previous acer laptop?

thanks for the information. i think i will find the drivers one by one, xp virtual machine i scare some of my softwares cant support.
possible if doing dual boot? cos acer not giving any win7 discs, if dual boot must install win xp 1st right?

no lar. it means if my windows have problems, or drivers have problems, i bring back their shop to format or other services is foc in that warranty year.

actually i plan to upgrade the ram oso, but the guy told me if the lappy is running on 4gb[the most], upgrade to 6-8gb oso no use wor.
cos can detect until 4gb only.

anyone to clarify this?

a proud owner of acer 4830tg. hehehe.. bought yesterday, rm2.4k only, with a box of 7in1 free gift set.. typing these from my new acer.hehehe.. but i dont play game much. later wanna buy game dvd. and try this machine. heheh..

i have a question..why my hard disk have only 580GB? It should be 640GB right...hmmm..wonder where extra 60GB gone..

4830TG is EOL product, not so easy to find.

By following your logic, why don't I pay xtra RM400 more to get 5750G or A43S/A53S Core i7? instead of RM2499 for i5.

the GPU would only work by either u on power supply,off the power saving or u make the changes in the nvidia setting...
