lolz..its coming soon...but then when the time comes ur sony is duno how many days liao...y u wan trade ur vaio for this?

Yeah, the vaio is terrible, because it over heats and makes awful noise like a hair dryer, when you do something more than just web browsing. I exchanged it twice at the sony store. I am desperate of getting rid of it and don't know what to do.

Most likely...

No no no... it's like the sony vaio s, you can remove the battery by unscrewing it, and replace it by another one. Only the macbooks don't have this feature.

You still need to buy a new battery and put it in, right? sweat.gif
*
Yeah, well it's the same problem with other laptops anyway : It's hard to find a second battery. Only now, you need a screwdriver doh.gif

Well, from my experience, I thick plastic laptop is hard to bend, whereas a thin metal laptop is highly bendable.

So I have reservations on the durability of the laptop.(keyboard flex, screen flex)

Guess I will be waiting for a thick and heavy laptop.

The only thing preventing me from buying this laptop is the design. I just hate the blue metal finish, the silver area around the keyboard, the black keys... I just wish they kept everything the same color, like the vaio s.

Everything else is perfect : specs, battery life, size and weight, features, price...

Actually, one of the reasons I didn't buy a vaio s is the design. Another is the price...

u bought it from whom???
really?? both the design n specs caught my attention. if the design is lame, i might have bought asus' a43sv, same spec and also much cheaper.
*
I really don't want to start a fight here laugh.gif . But from my subjective point of view, I don't like the design because it's too complicated rclxub.gif. I like simple designs.

The main reason to buy the vaio s is the design, it looks sharp nod.gif But the main reason NOT to buy the vaio s is the NOISE, that's why I got a refund smile.gif

me too. actually the design will grow on you. i hated it at first. you know how some girls become more and more beautiful the more you look at them? while some girls look damn hot at first but after a while, you find that they dont really look that good? haha its like the former. go touch and feel it and give it a while before you decide!

Well, my eyes are on the hp G4 (the red one). I love the design wub.gif

that actually looks damn beautiful. any key comparisons with the 4830tg? if i saw this earlier, maybe i would have reconsidered lol...

*
Pavilion G4, i5-2410M + AMD HD6470@RM2349

Yeah, the specs are less powerful, the battery life is shorter, it's a little heavier...but the design is so much nicer (especially in real life), that I am actually going to pick this over the 4830tg blush.gif

Plus, the standard non-chiclet keyboard is so much easier and faster to type on... But still, despite the ugly design (my subjective point of view), the acer 4830tg is just better in every aspect. Ha ! I would rather stare at the g4 everyday than the acer 4830tg.

The outer look of laptop actually does not become a concern of me if the spec is good...
*
As the years go by, the specs in your laptop become less relevant, and the outer look is the only thing that persists overtime. The only concern for me is having a good processor and a decent graphics card (nvidia or ati), so I can choose pretty much any laptop.

Hahaha the 4830 design still hasn't grown on you? tongue.gif am waiting for mine still. Probably getting it tmrw only ): looking at cooling pads right now at digital mall. Any recommendations?
*
Did you see the hp g4 on the link above ?

Anyways, any cooler master pad made of metal shall do. It's not like you have much choice, they're all the same laugh.gif

I played around with the G4, nothing special  yawn.gif.

That's exactly what I like about it : no faux chrome, no metal...it's plain and simple like a macbook, only it comes in red. Yeah, it's a red macbook smile.gif
