QUOTE(ashingburning @ Mar 25 2011, 06:01 PM) juz wanna know.. some1 told me, it is not good use the batt while the lappy is plugged in.. and i dunno is it true or not... anybody can conform this?? this laptop remind me this thing... generally yes... heat from other hardware parts can kill off the battery cells slowly... QUOTE(8u8u @ Mar 25 2011, 06:01 PM) but then i heard ppl say aluminum is much hotter??i dun think weight is a problem cuz i seldom travel with laptop look at MacBook Pro/Air, and u'll get an idea... u can use the whole chasis as a giant heatsink, which saves space inside, at the expense of hot surface...

QUOTE(Revamperz @ Mar 25 2011, 06:07 PM) please, enlighten us! that's wat Apple has been using since Mactel (i think)... it basically allows for more charge cycles than Li-ion, but is more costly as well... makes sense to use it on a laptop with integrated battery... Added on March 25, 2011, 6:10 pmQUOTE(neko_vill @ Mar 25 2011, 06:07 PM) full aluminium chasis mmang kaw2 HOt during VERY hot days. got bad memory with cousin's MBP lol, MBP if use plastic also very hot la... anyway, i will give this a pass, even though TimelineX has been proven good... juz dun like the idea of unremovable battery in a performance laptop... Added on March 25, 2011, 6:12 pmQUOTE(8u8u @ Mar 25 2011, 06:11 PM) for the quality...its worth the bucks i'd say well, bad idea if the user is a gamer... QUOTE(8u8u @ Mar 25 2011, 06:13 PM) i hav no comment bout the built in batt...but u do have to giv thumbs up for the price with these kinds of specs.. well, nothing surprising, imho... the spec was already leaked at least 1 week back... it's sort of expected anyway... can't be worse than 4820TG rit?

QUOTE(Ricky Ling @ Mar 25 2011, 06:20 PM) Actually Acer's profit margin is actually lower compared to Dell or HP. Their notebooks are all came from China, so not much difference on costing lah. Just Acer is more aggressive on pricing...See Dell Inspiron 15R Quad core can be cheaper than Acer 5750G as well tell me which popular OEM dun make their laptops in China? even Alienware are also made in China now...

QUOTE(Ricky Ling @ Mar 25 2011, 06:55 PM) Sony - 90% China except VAIO Z Toshiba - 80% China except Portege R830 or R840/R850 Fujitsu - 40% China except expensive model more like made in China, assembled in Japan (less the solid capacitators on the mobos perhaps)... if they re really 100% made in Japan, they will cost rm8k, not rm4k...
