4830TG EOL? unrealistic? may be. but if Beouwulf say so, i have little reason to doubt him... u probably not in the forum long enough to know this... kekekeke

somehow, if this is true, it's good news for me! as a previous TimelineX owner, i anticipated the arrival of 4830TG / 3830TG with full enthusiasm. however, the many decision in the new designed, such as single fan in 3830TG, nvidia 540M gpu and internal battery make me feel like the new gen is somehow less exciting.

hope Beouwulf can release more info about this EOL thingy... ehhehe... anyway, i like to speculate things... i hope they release an Ultrabook fast, as an replacement to the current TimelineX...

imagine an even thinner, smaller footprint, using Shuriken Display (small bezel + IPS), AMD 6630 GPU + Sandy Bridge.. ^^ heck, if they can use AMD A8 fusion, that's even better!

Maybe I should rephrase the EOL statement properly, the current speced 4830TG not available for order from Acer. The 3830TG is sort of a limited edition.
4830TG was launched in march if anyone would like to know.
5750G i5 is also not available anymore, only the i7 version is available.

ohhh... in that case, most likely another 4830TG, but with higher CPU... may be i5-2420M with slightly higher speed... oh well.. this is no fun... hehehe

@notroxcity: what's your Resident Evil 5 internal benchmark score? That ngkhanmein only get 30-40 FPS? Although his card is 5650, it should not be too much difference.

4830TG has throttling issue. it has been confirmed by multiple reviews and many users in NBR

the cpu will slow down to 1.2ghz when you push both the GPU+CPU in benchmarking and in heavy gaming. the reasons for throttling is due to really low triggering temperature / power and poor heat management for the GPU+CPU combination.

however, i didnt see anyone discuss about it here in LYT. everyone just simply gaga over the slim profile and its blue color. doh.gif
