QUOTE(Borsch Soup @ Apr 13 2011, 11:47 AM) For those thinking to buy 4830TG but worry about heat and battery, it is better just wait for reviews from online when available, they using IR thermometer to measure so more accuracy. TQ. The 3830Tg,4830Tg and 5830Tg are so popular, I bet a full detailed review will be out in no time |

The 6-cell battery in my previous Toshiba Satellite M100 is capable of lasting 45 minutes after 2.5 years (originally can last 2.5hours), never removed the battery (din't know need to remove LOL) at all, LOADS of gaming
The batteries in the M11x are built-in as well, din't hear much complains about that either This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Apr 16 2011, 06:05 PM |

QUOTE(remonx @ Apr 17 2011, 09:01 PM) Actually I went to of fair today and this model 4830gt is out of stock. They offer me aspire 4750g with rm2200 compare which rm200 cheaper than acer 4830gt. Well, its a budget-line laptop like the A series, whereas the 4830Tg is premium line like the N series I personally think that this spec is quite good and worth for the money too. Acer aspire 4750g specification: Core i5 2.3ghz 500gb hdd 14 inch Nvidia geforce gt 520m Built in card reader Webcam For that budget you'll be able to get an MSI FX420, i5-2410M + AMD HD6470@RM2099, FreeDOS/RM2299(W7HP), 3 years warranty Performance-wise, both are almost similar |

QUOTE(kelvinclyap88 @ Apr 18 2011, 12:27 AM) why?? i thought mostly of you will choose 4830TG?? (+ u say that u prefer 4830tg design Which is why I put the "rational" word there what make you choose N43SL?? Non built-in battery, 2 years international warranty.... its better... But the design of the 4830Tg just makes people want it more |

QUOTE(kelvinclyap88 @ Apr 18 2011, 12:46 AM) but 4830tg battery can easily take down n43sl with around 6hours-10hours battery life The battery can easily take down the N43SL (when its new) and the weight and slim design of 4830tg... also, around RM160-RM200 for 3 years warranty (for those who didn't plan to go overseas) which will become around the same price with n43sl After a few years, the performance will reduce drastically The N43SL is priced at RM2599, so it'll be a very close call... tough choice indeed.. but since most people go emphasize more on the design, the 4830Tg will probably be more popular |

QUOTE(kelvinclyap88 @ Apr 18 2011, 12:54 AM) Should be RM2599, since all the prices shown in the brochure are RM100 more than usual? But then if we extend 2 years warranty only, the price of the Acer would be exactly the same to the Asus, more or less This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Apr 18 2011, 12:59 AM |

QUOTE(kelvinclyap88 @ Apr 18 2011, 01:02 AM) yea, it always more RM100... but for safe, i still will inform ppl @ RM2699 4830Tg is equally hard to find now haha yea, both should be more or less the same price, wont differ a lot... that is dilemma for us to choose which once n43sl out... but rumours say that n43sl will only be out mid of may... which make me to consider 4830tg Added on April 18, 2011, 1:15 am QUOTE(Revamperz @ Apr 18 2011, 01:04 AM) so basically it will be onsale lower then 2.6k n from that pamplet/catalog it shows full hd feature! which model got the fhd display, thats gonna be awsome! I think the FullHD feature is like Toshiba's Resolution+ Technology, which can make videos look much clearer Its a software lai This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Apr 18 2011, 01:16 AM |

QUOTE(Neles @ Apr 18 2011, 05:08 PM) Design and Spec different! Well, these laptops are of different class, can't really compare... the Acer 5750G is still one of the best 15" for that budget range Acer 5750G (RM2899) Keyboard - Not Chiclet Intel Core i7-2630QM processor 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M with NVIDIA® Optimus™ 15.6" HD 1366 x 768 resolution Acer 4830TG (RM2499) Keyboard - Chiclet Intel Core i5-2450M processor 2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M with NVIDIA® Optimus™ 14" HD 1366 x 768 resolution 2.17kg Cannot compare liao.... And the 1GB/2GB difference for the Nvidia GT540M doesn't make much difference in terms of performances iinm |

QUOTE(Neles @ Apr 18 2011, 05:33 PM) Wondering what game could make much different for 1GB/2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M with NVIDIA® Optimus™ According to some forumers, the 2GB would be better if you're using multiple monitors or something... Don't think there'll be any differences in terms of gaming |

QUOTE(Dyuefranchisor @ Apr 18 2011, 07:20 PM) what it mean? you mean that im using the 2nd generation 5750g which is provided 2GB graphic card while the first generation is using 1GB graphic card? Yeah, something like that But it doesn't really matter whether its 1GB or 2GB.. the most important thing is that the chipset flaw is fixed~ Anyway, the 4830Tg's battery won't "heat up fast" the problem is that the battery is built-in... so the heat generated by the laptop will "kill" the battery |
