Hi guys, what you all think of Acer aspire 4750G compared to this one. Im not  a gamer. Kindly advice if i should go for 4750 instead
*
It's good for you to top up another RM250 to get the 4830TG instead, as it provides more powerful GPU and it's slimmer, but since you are not a gamer, therefore, 4750G should be enough for your usage.

Lol, I thought I have the chance to view and molest this laptop in the PCFair just now, but unfortunately it's out of stock as of just now, so no chance to play with it even though I'm not interested to buy this model.

Wow! Really? Selling like hot cakes, ya? I'm interested in this lappy too. My only concern in the built-in battery. Otherwise, it's kinda a perfect lappy for me. Considering between this lappy and Asus A43SV hmm.gif
*
Yup, I bet it sells like a hot cake otherwise it won't be sold out in the 2nd days of PCFair, yeah the built in battery is the main concern that turn me down, otherwise, I should have typing this message with this 4830TG. rclxms.gif

Im considering of buying these 3 laptops which is:
1. Acer Timeline 4830G
2. Asus A43SV
3. Asus A53SV

By comparing the specification and features of these 3 laptops, the conclusion is:

Acer Timeline 4830G:
Pros: 1)Convenient to bring anywhere as it is small,light and portable!
          2)Design is trendy and as it is made from aluminium material.
          3)Battery is more long lasting as it has 1000 full cycle and
            last longer hours.
          4)The presence of usb 3.0 has become the plus point. ^^

Cons: 1)As the battery is integrated,when the large amount of heat is  released, the heat will eventually damage the internal hardware. Thus, this laptop lifespan is shorter!
          2)On the other hand, the smaller screen 14" compare to Acer a53sv 15.6" is one of the concern for many people also as you use in gaming or movie.
*
Personally I would go for 4830TG although it has built in battery.

Guys new update.

Lowyat have the stock of 4830tg. The pricing is around rm2450 after discount. ( The shop is Acer itself located near the Hainan Kopitiam )

And a bad news for myself. Sadly, i'm not going to join the 4830tg gang anymore! T.T after survey for more than 10 shops, i will be taking the Asus second generation A53SV.

Price = rm60 extra
Screen = 15.6" big instead of 14"
Warranty = 2 years instead of Acer 1 year
Specification = Everything is the same
Quality = Survey more than 10 shops and more than 10 owners. All call me go for Asus as the quality is much better compare to Acer.

But seriously i dont really like the outlook compared to 4830tg. But no choice the overall specs is better. Will be waiting for coming IT Fair see got any good offers for Asus.
*
Just don't listen to those sales person, they just simply say, what you need to know is a review from the actual owner which can be found here, but doesn't mean Asus is not good. By the way, when is the next IT Fair?

just went to lowyat around 6pm today.. all shops are out of stock.. next stocks will arrive by next week

just want to get an opinion from u guys.. is it worth it to get extended warranty to 3 years with additional rm198? i have good experience with 3 acer laptop and desktops.. none of them are problematic even after 3 years.. but this time im quite worried since the battery is built in
*
For me I would definitely go for the three years extension, it's really worth it if your laptop is having any issue in the future which would definitely cost you a bomb. But if you're concern more on the battery side, what I can tell you is the 3 years warranty doesn't cover the battery, only the default 1 year cover the battery.

really? it is acceptable if 1 year warranty for a removable battery.. but for built in battery i think the risk is higher

That's why nothing is built to be perfect.
