About monitoring the temperature, those benchmarking tools usually need fullscreen, but when i want to see the temperature i have to alt+tab to desktop and look for HWmonitor, the temperature will still keep as that or will suddenly fall down since I already switch to desktop?

Yes, I'm using Nvidia System Tool, OCed more than GT550M.
Graphic clock: 672 -> 800
Memory clock: 900 -> 1020

I've test it with furmark, 3dmark06 and all without any artifact. Graphic clock more than 800 will show some artifact and eventually drive to driver fail.

3DMark Score 9314 from stock clock to 10441 from OCed clock. Another 1000 score improvement!

The temperature max around 75C and didn't go further up. I think its still safe.

u mean run the test on 1280x720? i thought many ppl use 1024x768 as standard test?

Now testing for 1280x720 as lee_what2004 request.

Now I'm using Furmark to do burn in test, CPU temperature at 81C and GPU temperature at 79C, is it consider ok or too hot?

I've run furmark for 1 hour, actually now in OC 815/1032. I guess I'll just make it down a little bit and see how. After that only bring in IntelBurnTest together.

Actually when not using Nvidia GPU and the CPU in idle right, the CPU temp is around 55C and GPU temp is 46C. I didn't use any cooler pad at the time. So is it consider ok for idle?

No, I'm using the old 260 driver. the new 270 driver has some problem that I couldn't make it to trigger the Nvidia GPU. Not sure why.

Added on April 29, 2011, 2:49 pmIf you are using Nvidia System Tool you'll notice there is Graphic clock, Memory clock and Processing clock. When you push Graphic clock to 746 and memory maintain at 900 you'll notice that the processing clock is 1492, so here I assume the processing clock is the shader core.

Hm... going to do stressed test with these tools on stock clock.. see what's the max temp w/o cooler.

Here's my torture test for more than 1 hour using AIDA64, Prime95 and Furmark altogether.

Yeap, compared to the 3830, this one is so much better, given that my room condition is around 32C - 34C (Its like sauna room!)

Hey, did you guys experience any USB port problem? No matter i used USB3.0 or 2.0 plugged with my external HDD (I got 2 ext. HDD) and i found out sometimes it will disconnect and reconnect again and the autorun will show up. I'm not sure this one is just my case or this is 4830TG issue.

I have used it in my old laptop Acer 4720 and it didn't show such issue. So I assume this only happening in my new laptop not the cable problem.

Yes, it is normal. when u running on high end program you will get HOT air where u put a glass of water beside the air vent your water will eventually being warm..

Yes u can, but something like launch manager need to be installed i guess.

If you install Home Premium edition then u can use the product key from acer.
