is the graphic card of this lappie any good for gaming?

Had the chance to touch and feel the new TimelineX 4830TG at lowyat plaza today 
Man the laptop really looks good~

As shown in the brochure, I'm pleased to say that the laptop really looks splendid in reality~


Keyboard & Palmrest. The keyboard buttons are really good, a very big improvement from the previous styling. Typing feel is good and accurate, love the slightly tight keyboard feedback 
I wonder why the "\" and "Enter" buttons are fused together, it sorts of ruin the whole design. Similar to most of Acer's keyboards, the Arrow keys are abit too small for my taste, people with larger fingers may have problems during gaming LOL    Very slight to almost non-existent flexes on the keyboard  But the center portion of the palm rest (around the touchpad) creaks loudly when pressure is applied, which is rather unwelcomed 


Placement of ports. Heat vent's on the left side. On idle mode its not hot at all but I din't have the chance to test how hot it can become. The VGA port and the ethernet port would be better if they're placed at the back of the laptop, or at least placed at the back portions of the sides...


Managed to test the speakers of both the TimelineX 4830TG and Asus A43Sv... at 100% volume, the sound is average only. And I'm not sure whether its me but the sound seems to be louder on the right speaker  Manage to test a Toshiba NB520 netbook as well, the harman/kardon speakers are louder and clearer than both the 4830TG and A43Sv, I've to admit I'm a bit surprised 


Front part of the laptop. Looks like a SD card reader. No idea about the others  and you can probably see that the touchpad buttons seemed unsymmetrical

Not just any shop can get the 4830TG, buy la .

How come there's not much news about these laptops online?
I can't find any review from the top websites.
Don't tell me that M'sia got the 1st batch of 4830's...

with the right price i say why not 

I was asking hte same thing.
So weird that the laptop is going to be launched soon
but there is no review.
Dont tell me M'sia is where they will launch it first worldwide.

Acer 2nd Gen TimelineX announced at Taiwan

Acer TW just announced full range of 2nd Gen of TimelineX at Taiwan with 4830TG officially selling for NT39,900 (around RM4,163) with same spec here which of course selling for RM2,499. Kind of feel like Malaysia boleh lah

Presenting the Acer Timeline X 4830TG...

Hello,

I found this thread looking for info about the 4830TG, thanks for all the info and pictures.

I've got an important question to ask, how come it's such a good price in Malaysia?!

I'm in the UK and we always get shafted for price, but I was wondering are laptops usually cheaper in Malaysia than other countries?
According to XE, 2,499.00 MYR = 505.964 GBP, that's still £60 or so cheaper than a used/returned 1st generation 4820TG with worse specs all around on amazon.co.uk. 

I think a poster above posted an advert for Singapore but the prices seem to be much higher there as well...

Thing is I'm probably going to visit a friend in Indonesia in a few months and was thinking of stopping off in Singapore to look for a laptop. If I can get a 4830TG for 2399RM or thereabouts I think I'll be stopping off in KL instead, the flights usually cost about the same.

Do you guys thing this price is going to last? Is this price normal in Malaysia?

So far heat has been quite cooling. But haven't done any heavy duty processing yet (i.e. gaming). Only browsing the internet and installing stuff...
