I made my order just now! I will get the laptop @ 6pm tonight.
Upgraded the RAM to 8GB. (+RM130)
I didn't want those free gifts(20 items, but they're something which I think I won't use them!) and got a discount RM80.
Extended its warranty to 3 years too @ RM170.
Total = RM 2499 - RM80 + RM130 + RM170 = RM2719 blink.gif

The build in battery is connected to mainboard with cable, needs some skill to remove it and so troublesome  doh.gif
There is a battery switch inside the casing at the bottom part. you can insert a pin thro' the hole at back casing to switch off battery.

The build in battery sweat  sweat.gif  beside the heat generator.

Waiting more post mortem pics from pro, esp the heatsink.    notworthy.gif

that's old specs and using 1st gen processor... can't compare old tech n new tech since new one is much better.. don't think you can get 3 years on Dell with that price either

Exactly. Incomparable.

I'm typing with my 4830TG. The keyboard is really nice rclxms.gif
I think when you start typing, the touchpad will automatically switch off, so you won't be annoyed by the touchpad when you're typing.
But there is a disadvantage which is when you just type a character, it turns off as well, so you'll feel like there's a delay or lag.
Overall, it's good! drool.gif
(Though the promoter didn't understand this laptop well, didn't know there were 2x2GB RAMs inside instead of 1x4GB,
I didn't manage to upgrade my RAM to 8GB, but I'm still happy with this laptop.)

found something in the Acer warranty that caught my interest, item no. 6f
http://www.acer.com.my/ac/en/MY/content/warranty

This warranty shall be rendered null and void if :
The Product is not purchased from Acer or through Acer's authorized distributors and resellers.

how to check if the seller is authorized? hmm.gif

where to check what component/hardware is included in the extended warranty? i read before the built in battery is not  sweat.gif
*
i was fondly reminded with this when i purchased my 4830tg back then, warranty gonna be an issue if the laptop , any model , are not purchased from authorized everything.

use Fraps to check the FPS.

If the FPS is around 40 - 60. Its smooth.

If the FPS is less than 30, then its lagging. You either need to lower the settings or cap the fps.

I cap my crysis 2 FPS at 30 because I see consoles like PS3 and xbox360 are also running crysis 2 on 30 FPS.
