Wow! nice! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif But in my opinion, if your female characters can be more feminine and sweet, that certainly will be better. Currently are just... too much muscle and fierce... sweat.gif

I haven't found the time to finish my half-painted BlackCat on Page 1.

But I did make a black and white BlackCat some time ago.

I'm trying out new colouring techniques. Cuts and gradients. A lot of tutorials to read.
Some artists are great artists but not so good teachers. They teach you Step 1, 2,3, then 6,7 and jump to 10. You get missing steps. Or sometimes, the instructions says do this and that. But what's the purpose? And what's the next step to do with it? Lol. I have to figure it out myself by cross-referencing. Dang it, so many magazines and How-To-Books to read, plus video tutorials. Phwooaaarrr......! ^^

I never really drew a Mortal Kombat character before. But I watched the movies and played the games and I like SubZero, Scorpion, Sonya and Kitana. :-P

I'll get around doing a Kitana later.

But first, I need to finish customers' artwork.

Hi Inashi, I have a new Thor that I pencilled a while ago, but never uploaded yet because I was going to paint it.

I'll get to that once I clear my customers' orders of illustrations.

Here are new commission pieces I'm doing for an overseas client.

Guile and Zangief sketch cards.

Superman Fortress of Solitude redrawn on actual artblock paper. 11" X 16". No lightboxing. Paper too thick anyways.

More details to follow. Possibly inked. In progress.

I'm taking a digital drawing course right now and learning from professionals at De'Claz'Room.

It's really an eye opener as I am taught how to paint digitally. I used to find it hard to believe that anyone could finish a life like digital portrait of Johnny Depp in under 4 hours. I thought they had super fast computers with 8 GBs of Ram or something. But now I've seen how it is done and how it should be done, I believe it.

Having a tutor at De'Claz'Room show me the ropes is by far faster and easier than trolling through tutorial magazines and books as I find the instructions clearer and easier to follow. It's a lot of fun, and it opens the door to so much more possibilities. Finally, I will have a chance to paint like my online idols!

The above painting of a cherry was from a class exercise.
Note: My tutor helped me out with the painting.

Guess who?
Exercise from digital painting class.
It's a lot of work and I still want to work on it, like on the ears, and also getting the texture right for the jacket. Gonna look for textures online.

Made with Wacom Bamboo Small and Photoshop CS5.

Note: My tutor helped me with this painting.

Been very busy lately. Acquiring new skills to be better at being an illustrator and designer.

Meanwhile, also had to deal with assignments and an exam this weekend.

Here's 2 commission pieces I'm working on.

Street Fighter Zangief and Guile sketchcards with acrylic and ink.
Shin Akuma in watercolor is in the works. No time to scan that bad @$$ yet.
