hi all, is anyone can give suggestion how much bitrates should be set during ripping/conversion for video. if rip a dvd to avi file (xvid, 720x480), is that sufficient if just set it to 1000kbps? what is the different if set it to more or less kbps? different in file size or quality?
thank you.

Less bitrate, smaller size and lesser quality video This post has been edited by shinjite: Mar 24 2011, 01:56 PM

1500 - 2500kbps is optimum bitrate for DVD > XVID. Framerates also have to be the same with source.
