I painted it... but then the quality are'nt really that good, some part are chipped off quite easily but of course those are unseen parts. maybe because i didnt apply any clear coat. Plus, powder coating in penang is just hard. . . especially on the island, tried finding but no luck =(

yea suppose to switch to apple, bt cant resist man . . pc modding is too fun =) nah not planning to water cooled, this rig rig is made to be small, versatile, easy to maintain. . and hopefully beautiful =) the previous is more powerful, but er, wc hard to maintain, alot of cleaning needa do, and lazy =,= and err to casing is very very big .. besides, my mbp gonna retire soon, 3 years old comin ~ sometimes abit laggy, so... here i am once again =D

Rotary tools, lol preferable with higher power, I used a low power one, ended up with non-smooth cut, which require hell lot of polishing work. Btw not Sifu la bro, newbie nia. Trying to learn Also =]

But i found that airflow of back fan is flow in cpu instead of flow the hot air out.
Anyone realize it?

you can cut a top blowhole, this solve the front panel heating issue.

I mod my front panel with a blow hole with grills and reverse the original a05n air flow and isolate the PSU from the intake. This makes no more stealthy looks sad.gif , but i get better temperature.

If you want keep the front stealthy looks, you can just cut a top blowhole, this will address the heating issue. Try take off the front panel, you will notice significant drop in temps.

This case has just too many ways to mod depends on ur likings. laugh.gif

I'm still thinking whether or not to include this on gpu, as i put some on the fans ~ and maybe some on the 'light box' thingy ~ still thinking though. if all these combine tgt, it wouldnt seem random, and i guess shud be better.

I guess no, i didnt really spray it like 7, 8 layers, i jz make it around 3-4 layers which is enough to cover the ori black colour. imho, i dont think minor painting will cause any obvious slow down in fans speed. the system is not complete yet though, so i cant say it for sure.

i see

coz last time my mother did try to spray home ceiling fan.
then the spinning speed is noticeably slowed down.

perhaps the paint was too "heavy" in mass. using normal paint spray can

Yes bro, thinking to mod it.. i think the top mod is the best to flow out the processor heat.

Between, i think the bottom of front case is a plastic with screw, maybe i try take off the bottom part, let the airflow bottom out.

Thank you for suggestion!

QUOTE(lichyetan @ Apr 4 2011, 02:34 PM)
you can cut a top blowhole, this solve the front panel heating issue.

This case has just too many ways to mod depends on ur likings.  laugh.gif

u cant remove the piece of plastic, it got the clip to fatsern the front panel with casing.

LOL..WTF are you going on about
The sticker is just for decoration purpose laugh.gif
As for race car, they use real carbon fiber for their body panel and such as carbon fiber is lighter/stronger then a lot of material

just use any credit card. no need to top up your paypal funds. they will charge your cc accordingly everytime you send funds to another paypal user.

verifying only cost you around 2 doolars. i also forgot the amount.

HAHA me too, hoping to see it complete soon ~ yea modding our own is de best when u see the final result , talk bout satisfaction ! Wanting to get snap cap from u for the capacitors ~wonder it will fit or not ?!

Anyway more photos, put in HDD and trying to setup WC stuff. originally omitted HDD cage, planed to install all drives on 5.25 inch bay, however, it seems radiator with comp fit blocking the top IO panel of my hard drive, so change plan and luckily i still keep HDD cage and painted it tongue.gif

haah thanks man for the compliment, but its far from being a legend lol

Anyway, here's some update today. when i tried fit everything, the psu was stuck ! ! ! it could not go all the way in . apparently, the problem lies in the measurement i made at the beginning of this project, forgotten to take into account the wires ! ! so some modifications had been made to fix this problem. I cut a rectangular hole at the bottom of the plate and repaint the whole thing:

After the hard works, tried fit everything in again, another problem:facepalm: man it almost kills me cry.gif. The reservoir bracket is way too huge, so i decided to change to stock bracket that came together with the reservoir, and re-drill some holes - which i had to take everything off from the case again ! well, luckily i came up with something any lazy person will think of laugh.gif

user posted image

Cover all the parts with paper ! thus preventing any dust getting anywhere near the my precious parts 8-)

and here's the end result ! stealthy look. actually i prefer this bracket as i would like to avoid using any plexi, focusing on the milky white coloured tube nod.gif

When everything was done, i tried filling the loop with distilled water, major leakage :thumbdown: from the bottom of the reservoir ! ! due to the tubing went off from the comp fit, which is my current state, ordered some 45 and 90 deg fittings, hopefully it'll solve my problem! man I WAS SO CLOSE FINISHING IT ! ! ! sad.gif

lol its an honour and pleasing to receive such acknowledgement, but I'm still far from being one of the best la lol but still thanks for the compliment =D

Here are some updates :

Now i got the side panel done, removed 3M double sided tape using rotary tools. biggrin.gif

Now start filling water again, recently lots of problems on EK nickel block, thus i figured i should just go with distilled water, cheap and easily available =D
