i think there's something with my accelerometer!
i was playing abduction(u know, the jumping cow game), and i tried tilting in every way possible, but it still wont move! then i thought maybe it was just that game, so i opened doodle jump and same thing! it still wont register everytime i tilt the phone! do u guys think its a hardware problem? is there any way to check if the accelerometer's working properly or not? thanks in advance. |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 6 2011, 07:49 PM) Do you rooted your phone? We can try another method before sending to service centre. tried the 8 movement..didnt work..but not sure if i did it right anyway..Edit: When you run the diagnostic test. There is some sort of graphic which looks like a compass. There is a sentence "Need for calibration" inside the circle rite? To calibrate that, just move ur phone in "8" figure movement and a complete horizontal roll. It will take about 2 or 3 complete roll and "8" to calibrate that. do i do this: and yeap, my phone's rooted write this in terminal su /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha as seen from this link http://smartanuj.com/samsung-galaxy-s-trou...ptimizing-guide |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 6 2011, 08:13 PM) I have another method and much more simpler (improvise from that method; can be found on XDA). To sum up... im using astro file manager, navigated to /data, but there's nothing inside this folder..1. Navigate to /data/system folder 2. Rename or delete ms3c_yamaha.cfg 3. Run the Horizontal Calibration from the Display settings 4. Reboot Try it out see if it can reset your sensor again. this is at the base of the memory right? |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 6 2011, 09:07 PM) Some of 'em managed to settle it by deleting the file mentioned earlier. i've already deleted the ms3c_yamaha.cfg fileIf you do not have Root Explorer, you can use terminal to access the directory CODE su cd /data/system mv ms3c_yamaha.cfg ms3c_yamaha.cfg.bak -or- rm ms3c_yamaha.cfg exit then rebooted my phone then checked my sensors but still "need calibration" what do some ppl mean when they say rerun the yamaha? |

oh man..simply ROM newest version 3.0 RC2 (2.3.3 JVK)
and it says i have to update to stock 2.3.3 first before updating Simply ROM..which im kinda reluctant to do..since most of u guys who tested it are saying that its not compatible with most apps yet or are these custom roms compatible with those apps already? |
