Give superoneclickroot a try. I don't know if it would work but it was my reliable rooting procedure.

If they are to lock, this would be the first locked bootloader for i9000. But so far I'm seeing them able to flash other kernel and also access UL/DL mode. It's safe to assume it's not locked.

I am using JVK since last night. No bugs and very good experience. Only thing is the key lights don't turn off until screen turns off. Very bright at night

You can use fuguroot kernel, a blank kernel for rooting only. Then flash back to XXJVK original kernel.
Email app has better support for Microsoft Exchange server! Great news for me. |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Mar 29 2011, 07:17 PM) Wonder why the rooting guide is removed for XXJVK ROM at XDA?? That is original thread of XXJVK. Samsung is hunting down that person.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009177 Added on March 29, 2011, 8:13 pm QUOTE(lch78 @ Mar 29 2011, 08:11 PM) I failed to root with FuguRoot... Now cannot start... The Fugu icons keep coming out, cannot boot... You must flash back to original kernel after rooting. What you guys use for rooting JVK ROM? Remember I said, extract zimage then tar the zimage? This post has been edited by mengsuan: Mar 29 2011, 08:13 PM |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Mar 29 2011, 09:45 PM) Yea. XXJVK source is not released. Custom kernel are not available, except for Supercurio's hacked gingerbread kernel.Gingerbread is really snappy and fast. It sets SGS to the way it should be in the first place.... Confirm wifi signal is lower than JS8. GPS is good and fast lock, camera works! So far so good, still testing the new ROM. I leave the CSC at KOR and set APN manually. Next step is to get back CWM. Any custom kernel to recommend that is compatible with JVK ROM? Added on March 29, 2011, 10:08 pm QUOTE(silentser @ Mar 29 2011, 09:59 PM) Not having this issue so far. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Mar 29 2011, 10:08 PM |
