And is it safe to update to the leaked gingerbread? Well I be able to update the phone using kies in the future?

guys, i wanna install the leaked gingerbread now.. so, should i root first? what would you guys recommend? i want it to be faster than current froyo..

btw, i thought 2.3 have the crt shut off screen by default?

i c.. so now lets say after i have installed 2.3, then if i wanted to revert back to 2.2, should i do something? like maybe unroot it or etc..

i already have all the files ready to upgrade my sgs from 2.2 to 2.3..

just successfully updated to gingerbread! now trying to install the crt turn off animation.. wish me luck..

is it true it will have battery drain issues? if so, should i use ur battery mod solution or what mengsuan mentioned in page 64?

btw, successful in installing crt animation.. but i realised the boot sound disappeared.. is it normal?

Battery drain issues. At first, suggestion by mengsuan really help in page 64. But now, its not the cause anymore. In 5 hours, 50% is lost. 76% by android os. 8% by display. Helps are very much appreciated.

Will try the restart suggestion. And I'll report if it works.
Forgot to tell that I have my live wallpaper turned off.
