Without Voodoo sound and galaxy tuner working for sound tuning in XXJVK ROM, feels that the music sound quality has decreased when listening thru my headphone.. hmm.gif

wait till samsung releases source code for gingerbread rom, then those kernel hackers can start doing wonders.

I heard forumer saying that data restore got corrupted. Not true meh? Hehe....
*
update to the latest TB. I never had a failed apps&data restore.

QUOTE(CrossX @ Apr 2 2011, 03:30 PM)
just flashed to doc's beta JVK... not so stable i suppose, very smooth UI transition, but the reduced haptic feedback is really hard to get used to... Faced a few force close even without any apps running.

Mayb i should stick back with 2.2.1??? XD
*
Uninstall and reinstall any app that force closes. Restoring from TB to XXJVK is like that.

ditto...

after using a while, the lags is like rushing to me...zzz

really? I thought voodoo lagfix is quite reliable? don't worry, still got speedmod rclxms.gif

QUOTE(gajahwhite @ Apr 2 2011, 06:47 PM)
guys.. anyone here still use Simply 2.7?
last two days and just now, i face problem with force close "phone" when someone call me.. then i'm unable to answer the call.. solution is by restart my phone..

is there any way to fix this?
can i fix this by doing wipe dalvik & cache? if i do this, my apps, sms, all data still there is it? happy.gif

Added on April 2, 2011, 9:17 pmstill sayang Simply 2.7 and dun want to flash to other rom or JVK yet.. happy.gif
*
wiping dalvik & cache won't delete your apps, sms and data. Rebooting for the first time after deleting dalvik will be very long. So be patient. You can always flash ezbase ROM for a clean start.

QUOTE(Star_knight79 @ Apr 2 2011, 06:50 PM)
Hi, no sifu can answer this?
Besides, hardware fix GPS is for what? Faster locked time or Better accuracy.
*
hardware fix is a permanent warranty void. you need to pry open the phone and make a little adjustment to the copper contact. Breaking that connection will result in no gps. Yes, it is a dangerous procedure, but very rewarding.

custom rom for 2.3 is stavle now.. planing to buy a new ap set rm1450

It is somewhat stable, but the minimum free ram setting is too high. I'll wait for gingerbread source release.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Apr 2 2011, 08:40 PM)
Doesn't Hardcore's Speedmod incorporates Voodoo's ext4 implementation?
I would love to have more and more RAM on my device.

As I was using it on Friday evening, tracking my journey home using Google Track. Then I had my browser opened with 4 pages. 2 Lowyat pages, 1 page was a photo and another was to another forum, with plenty of photos in it. Then I had the Maps application opened while watching my progress on the journey.

So what I did was, I tried to set my destination, hoping to get an ETA and distant to travel. When I tried to do a search and typed in the destination name, the phone jammed. Waited 5 mins, Android asked me if I would like to FC the Maps. So I clicked No. In a short while, I gained control of my Maps again. This time, I hand itchy. I clicked on the dropdown item of the search list. The phone jammed again for another 5 minutes or so... finally, it rebooted itself.  doh.gif

Yup, I lost all the webpages. Luckily Google Track reinitiated itself and track recording mode was retained. Unfortunately, part of the track has missing info due to the hanging of the phone earlier. So I had to quickly re-establish BT connection back to my ext GPS device.
*
Both uses ext4 as filesystem but there are other differences.

What I notice with xxjvk is this. I opera with 3 tabs opened. Then I hit home button to open twitter app. When I switch back to opera, all the tabs sometimes will reload.

I'm at airport now. So I may not be able to reply some more. See you guys in two weeks!

Regarding GPS issue, may I know what do u mean by rewarding?
Anyone tried it before? Comment please.

Any sifus know how to extract swype?

There is hardware failure pertaining to the copper that affects gps performance in earlier batch of sgs. see first page
