Has anyone tried the MyPass?

Seems like quite a lot of benefits (eg. 20% off Gloria Jeans)

This morning went to BHP outside KPG Klang Specialist Hospital as previously reported. No issue to top-up with surcharge charged to CC. Thanks victorywp!

We really need a new thread for this...

you are welcome. it's great to share information among each other to maximize our benefits. biggrin.gif
by the way, beside the 1% surcharge, there's a 50 sen service charge too right? which means rm101 for rm99.50 tng value?

yeah, when reach around 2.5k replies can open a new thread already.

and i nominate cybpsych to open bcs he already compiled the whole list. biggrin.gif

maybe we don't have to wait until 2.5k replies to open the new thread. last time brotan also opened a thread about balance transfer when there already have one or two threads about bt. and of course, brotan's is more up-to-date with more detailed information.

so cybpsych, it's time to start a new thread. laugh.gif

i would suggest the title reload tng with cashback (amex/visa/mastercard/cash/etc.)

places that accept amex (klang valley)
- petrol station (for eg. petronas kinrara, bhp berkeley, etc.)
- etc.

places that accept visa/master (klang valley)
- petrol station
- grocery (for eg. mymydin bkt tinggi)
- plus station (for eg. plus batu tiga, sg rasau, etc.)
- tng hub (for eg. tng hub kl sentral, tng hub bangsar south, etc.)
- etc.

places that accept amex (outside klang valley)
- petrol station
- etc.

places that accept visa/master (outside klang valley)
- petrol station
- grocery
- plus station
- tng hub
- etc.

places that accept cash with cashback
- pharmacy (for eg. watson's 5% based on promo period)
- etc.

remarks:
1) use hlb wise for reloading at grocery category (10%)
2) use mbb2amex for reloading during weekends (5%+2%)
3) use uob one card for reloading at petrol station (5%) or (5%+2% if bhp)
4) use citibank cashback platinum for reloading at petrol station (5%)
5) use aeon watami for reloading at places that only accept visa/mastercard (3%)

Why do we need to pay RM101 for RM99.50 value where I can pay by cash RM100 for RM100?

cash reload, virtually no merchants are giving rebate/discount/cashback. RM100 cash = RM100 TnG credit (assuming no reload service charge at e.g. TnG Spot/Hubs or Watsons).

hence, most forumers are hunting/testing for credit card reload options instead; which giving cashback and give you some extra days without utilizing your fund upfront.

Commonly preferred reload channels via cc are at petrol stations, whereas literally all will incur surcharge and/or service charge.

example:

Reload using Maybank2card Amex on weekends at Petronas Kinrara. RM100 TnG credit = RM100 swipe + 1% (RM1) cash surcharge. In advance, you're paying "more" at RM101 for RM100 TnG credit.
However, your upcoming cc bill will reward you RM5 cashback (5% of RM100 swipe) and 5x100 TreatsPoints (equivalent to 2% cashback in points).
Effectively, you gain RM4 in cashback (RM5 cashback minus RM1 surcharge you paid in advance) + 500 TPs.
You gain something in return.

Might not be much if just reload RM100, but imagine you reload RM500 TnG credit using Amex (RM500 lumpsum or RM100 every weekend). You'll gain RM20 cashback (RM25 cashback-RM5 surcharge) + 1000 TPs

Yes, need more work and not everyone will enjoy this benefit unless you're nearby/convenient to reach these petrol stations.

sadly, no. Petrol stations + TnG + Amex = Unicorn biggrin.gif

You have better chance using Visa/Mastercard than Amex.

does your TnG spending mostly above RM100 at PLUS, ELITE, BKE, LINKEDUA highways? If YES, you really need to get PLUSMiles! card instead.

haha, so you purposely let the auto reload done on weekends again? quite troublesome but worth if it really process on weekend. i remember you failed the first time right? it turned out to be on Monday that time.

haha, not really purposely, it is really coincidentally auto reload on weekend.

Yup, first time was failed, but the second and third times are successful...

let try again next auto reload...  brows.gif

Have tries another time for auto reload on yesterday and it is workable.

Transaction and posting date are the same on 25/5 (Sunday)...

For those who are using or planning to use the Zing card, perhaps can plan for auto reload on weekends...

I see .. Thanks for the comment but it seems not really useful for me as I always fully utilise the RM50 cash back spend on weekend by paying electric bills and groceries.. I only get TP which equivalent to 2% (RM2 - RM1 surcharge) which not significant.

so far, Watson's did twice TnG 5% reload rebate:

1) Feb-Mar 2014 [Info: TnG/Watson's]
2) Apr-May 2014 [Info: Watson's]

If they keep going with the trend, there would be another round around Jun-Jul 2014? drool.gif thumbup.gif
