Hi... Just got my evo 3d yesterday from aaron... Overall it is agood phone... I was contemplating at first weather to buy the evo or sensation. If u ask me the sensation have a nicer feeling in the hand but i went for evo due to its 1gb of ram and the macho look of the phone . 3d is ok but u must view at a certain angle in order to enjoy the 3d. Overall it is a nice transition from desire ...hihi

I saw in the news that evo 3d recently git its bootloader unlocked... Anyone have tred rooting the phone

Hihi... Thanks for the reply... Actually the main reason i bought the evo3d was due to its 1gb ram. 3d is a bonus... Anyway after a week of usage and a physical comparison with the sensation, i think the sensation feels better in the hands. Besides my favourite chef at the xda is using sensation... Oh well might have to wait a while since evo is still new... Maybe a month later more roms and customisation to play with

I think in terms of quadrant std, sgs2 scored musch higher. Super amoled plus to me is much clearer but the pixels in evo is much better. Reason evo3d is not as nice as the sgs2 is mainly because evoe 3d is using SLCD as compared to Super Amoled plus... Amoled is much better... thats why i still keep my desire (amoled)

Yup it can be unlocked. In fact there is a tutorial how to do it. The thing is i read somewhere once you have unlocked (htc method) there will always be a trace that you have unlocked your phone even when after u restore to factory settings. Not sure if this covers warranty or not. Furthermore this one no s-off.

If you use revolutionary method i think it is better coz you can restore back to factory settings without being detected which is safer to send for warranty. This one is better coz can s-off. Unfortunately the current version of revolutionary tool is still at beta stage and cannot support our hboot which is 1.49.00011.

To those u already own the evo... Where did u get the screen protector? I ve been searching high and low for it... Im looking for the clear type. Currently using the matte type but not liking it ...

How long can the battery last?... If i on my 3g data, playing bike mania, surfing, calling and sms... I cant even last a full day... By 8pm my batt goes dry...how bout others... How long ur battery last?

Hmm never experience that before.. the tempreture will rise when u use after a period of time... But to me it is still acceptable. I think the desire was even hotter. Maybe u can try install battery solo widget or any app that can measure the tempreture and see what is the reading...and post it...we can do comparison..

Still at stock rom and unrooted here. So far never encountered such problem yet. Anyhow, im still waiting for the revolutionary method of rooting and s-off... dont want to use the HTC method...

Software wise i have no complaint...Sense is master of integration the down side of it the UI consumes a lot of memory...U will notice a bit of a lag if u use a live wallpaper... Currently waiting for ages the ppl at XDA to have our version of hboot unlock...(sigh)

the physical design...some may like it some may dont...to me the design is manly ... a bit heavy though..

between sensation and evo..definitely evo...(if u prioritize more on speed and smoothness)

Theres a lot of reading need to be done if u r new to android... I assume same like every person who was new

To put in a simple terms bootloader is the setup screen before any OS. Same like when u press "del" when starting windows. Custom rom is what running ur android os but different than stock. Sense on htc is a stock rom, touch whiz on samsung is a stock rom....Something like that. U need to ask uncle google for more info.

If u have sync ur contacts with ur google account and have not change ur phone no... There is no need to re add ur contacts inside whatsapp..

Just googled about htc watch just now... Apparently malaysia is does not support htc watch at the moment. The services will be available later this year as what htc's ceo (malaysia) told press.
