Hi... Just got my evo 3d yesterday from aaron... Overall it is agood phone... I was contemplating at first weather to buy the evo or sensation. If u ask me the sensation have a nicer feeling in the hand but i went for evo due to its 1gb of ram and the macho look of the phone

QUOTE(onscreen @ Sep 3 2011, 11:03 AM) EVO 3D is Sensation but with 3D. The plus is you have no death grip in EVO 3D and a few other nifty features. Unless the 3D screen is making you dizzy. Hihi... Thanks for the reply... Actually the main reason i bought the evo3d was due to its 1gb ram. 3d is a bonus... Anyway after a week of usage and a physical comparison with the sensation, i think the sensation feels better in the hands. Besides my favourite chef at the xda is using sensation... Oh well might have to wait a while since evo is still new... Maybe a month later more roms and customisation to play with So stick at the evo for a while... |

QUOTE(Jurlique @ Sep 3 2011, 12:24 PM) How bout benchmark? which phones lags more? I think in terms of quadrant std, sgs2 scored musch higher. Super amoled plus to me is much clearer but the pixels in evo is much better. Reason evo3d is not as nice as the sgs2 is mainly because evoe 3d is using SLCD as compared to Super Amoled plus... Amoled is much better... thats why i still keep my desire (amoled) I heard that the screen brightness and quality for Evo3D is better than SGS2? Evo3D using qHD vs SGS2 using super AMOLED plus |

QUOTE(Doomsday @ Sep 7 2011, 07:01 PM) EVO 3D bootloader unlocked!! http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ Yup it can be unlocked. In fact there is a tutorial how to do it. The thing is i read somewhere once you have unlocked (htc method) there will always be a trace that you have unlocked your phone even when after u restore to factory settings. Not sure if this covers warranty or not. Furthermore this one no s-off. Anyone can verify can it be unlocked? PS: I haven't got my EVO 3D yet If you use revolutionary method i think it is better coz you can restore back to factory settings without being detected which is safer to send for warranty. This one is better coz can s-off. Unfortunately the current version of revolutionary tool is still at beta stage and cannot support our hboot which is 1.49.00011. |

QUOTE(skycrew @ Sep 8 2011, 11:27 AM) Hmm never experience that before.. the tempreture will rise when u use after a period of time... But to me it is still acceptable. I think the desire was even hotter. Maybe u can try install battery solo widget or any app that can measure the tempreture and see what is the reading...and post it...we can do comparison.. |

QUOTE(kh3ngling @ Sep 11 2011, 03:04 PM) Anyone tried custom ROMs? I'm wondering if using custom ROM solves the BSOD issue in Evo 3D. Going to get the phone soon but if the BSOD still present, then might consider LG Optimus 3D instead. Still at stock rom and unrooted here. So far never encountered such problem yet. Anyhow, im still waiting for the revolutionary method of rooting and s-off... dont want to use the HTC method... |

QUOTE(SpIcYjOe @ Sep 12 2011, 10:12 PM) Hey.... I don't like to wait for phones as my dad say "if you wait for the next version, lets all wait for the 10th version to come! It will come with hands and legs to work for you!" Software wise i have no complaint...Sense is master of integration Anyways, i am getting Evo 3d this weekend. I am still thinking between Evo 3d and sensation as they both are pretty much the same... Does evo 3d has any fault that you all encounter? Bugs or anything? Please don't say evo 3d is perfect... the physical design...some may like it some may dont...to me the design is manly ... a bit heavy though.. between sensation and evo..definitely evo...(if u prioritize more on speed and smoothness) (My personal view) |

QUOTE(Similan @ Sep 14 2011, 02:32 PM) sgs2 is mainly for android users who has hobby to try out different types of ROM. of course, it also appeals to other customers bcos of its thinness and super amoled+ screen. I agree.... There will b no perfect phone to satisfy ones desire evo 3d with sense is one of the best android phones. unfortunately it is the telephony, loudspeaker, system stability cannot compare to my blackberry. If only our bootloader is unlock... I guess maybe i hv been such a loyal customer of htc since the diamond era... So wondering how it feels like to use another brand ... Hmmm hv to do more research |

QUOTE(Existant @ Sep 15 2011, 01:29 AM) I just bought my EVO 3D and I LOVE IT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all welcome to android community bro...I am VERY NEW to Android..... I admit that this is my FIRST EVER phone on ANDROID. Can anyone tell me what is bootloader?? and what is custom ROM? and also previously I used nokia X6 whatsapp. now I changed to EVo 3D liaw my whatsapp all gone le the contact list. is it i have to message everyone let them know my new ID is it? sorry for my bad english ah bros and sis!! hehe so exicited bout my new phone!!!!! Added on September 15, 2011, 5:54 am*BUMP* Theres a lot of reading need to be done if u r new to android... I assume same like every person who was new To put in a simple terms bootloader is the setup screen before any OS. Same like when u press "del" when starting windows. Custom rom is what running ur android os but different than stock. Sense on htc is a stock rom, touch whiz on samsung is a stock rom....Something like that. U need to ask uncle google for more info. If u have sync ur contacts with ur google account and have not change ur phone no... There is no need to re add ur contacts inside whatsapp.. Cheers mate and enjoy android |

QUOTE(bububang @ Sep 19 2011, 08:20 PM) i also quite not understand of htc watch.. it looks like a place to buy/rent movie.. but.. it dont seem to have any link to buy/rent? Just googled about htc watch just now... Apparently malaysia is does not support htc watch at the moment. The services will be available later this year as what htc's ceo (malaysia) told press.but it does have some distorted image.. (thumbnail) |
