As mentioned in my topic, when HTC evo 3d will get official ICS update?

Because my friend has already got  ICS 4.0 for his HTC sensation.

I just wondering when.

I dont want to try the unofficial ROM on the net.

So anyone have any idea about it?

Any 1 here have any idea abt exact date of ics update for evo 3d? My trade in customer say 15 april can get ics update, but seems to me now sensation gets first.

Looks like have to sell this off without playing ics...

Argh. I really love the 3D. But maybe I'm gona change it to other phones if we ain't getting a proper ICS. It's really sad, because evo 3D was such a unique phone...dang...

why? the 3D autostereoscopic thingys quite nice to play with , and 3d wallpaper really making it look elegant

hey guys, anyone know the current price for EVO 3D? & will it possible HTC upgrade this phone to ICS? i don't know android well so i am not sure how to upgrade by self. planning to get this phone.

is your device s-off?

ICS needs S-OFF, because it flashes radio and everything

I remember DirectD was selling at about RM1100 , but i doubt its HTC set

finally managed to go hboot 1.49.0007

after hexedit and redo unlock token again

now need 2 do revolutionary or supertools

its all written in the xda link i post before...refer to second post (which is I find quite understandable compare to others)..

if you proceed very carefully and follow the method, i dont think you could have any problem at all..just make sure you have all the files, read and understand the step before you proceed

for my experience, the version 5 as you said(clockwork touch) there is a problem. Couldnt use that to upgrade rom, it will half brick the device, happened to me.. 

So this version you will still able to charge with led on even the phone turned off?

if follow tutorial should be ok, there is a lot tutorial outside there, i just choose one which is wrote for EVO GSM and i just follow what it did (did revert back some step because fail), and nothing happen. So you shouldnt worry too much.. or ask some guru help u for S-Off 

need expert S-OFF advice

ive uninstalled HTC sync, rebooted my laptop
my current phone is UNLOCKED, HBOOT 1.49.0007
went to HTC dev site to get unlock_code.bin
fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin - SUCCESSFUL
boot into Android
USB debugging
Extracted Revolutionary to C:\rev\revolutionary.exe
run revolutionary.exe as Administrator
like 7 times so far, and always get FAILED

EDIT:
installed recovery 4.0.14
installed Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip thru recovery
booted into Android
run revolutionary.exe as Administrator
1 time so far, SUCCESS

Now i see
Revolutionary
S-OFF
HBOOT1.49.007

HELL FINALLY!!

1. man u gotta RELOCK your bootloader with this ADB command: fastboot oem lock
2. once you're RELOCKED that PG86IMG file will be detected !

3. then goto htcdev.com to Unlock your bootloader again !!
4. flash CWM recovery
5. flash this Rom's Kernel file = boot.img
6. finally Factory Data Wipe
7. Flash the New ROM !!
8. DONE !

That rom is based on HTC one S RUU.. 3d will be broken..

Based on leaked official ICS for HTC evo3d RUU
using it now.. so far nothing broken...
don't need to flash the firmware.. new radio and firmware seems to be buggy..
just flash the rom via recovery and flash the boot.img again via fastboot and you are good to go with ICS.. 

thanks how about camera shutter lag..has it improve?

can EVO 3D update from 2.3.4 gingerbread to ICS 4.0 without "root"/ void warranty???? any link or guide? thx
