Note: Recently i notice the mushroomed of P&P retrokit on Reflector headlight. I believe the Ops knockdown on Sept 2005 coming back real soon if is continue spreading. Please re-consider the obtrusive and blinding glare on opposite driver are suffering before you retrofit any HID into your beloved vehicle.

Source from MOT:
ROAD HAZARDS: Tighten rules on HID lights By : S.M. MOHAMED IDRIS for CAP
THE Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) congratulates the Road Transport Department for its success in curbing the illegal use of xenon HID (high intensity discharge) lights on vehicles. Xenon lights are a proven hazard to Malaysian motorists.
Improperly retrofitted ones serve no purpose in our climatic conditions other than to blind other motorists with their glare. Motorists here who install these lights have been directly and indirectly responsible for accidents and the deaths of other motorists.

The RTD has acted stringently against motorists who retrofit HID lights, as provided for in Section 99(2)(ii) of the Rules for Motorised Vehicles (Construction and Use) 1959. In 2007, the government even contemplated banning xenon HID lights altogether. Unfortunately, this did not materialise. Instead, the government has acceded to European Union standards by being signatory to the World Forum for Harmonisation of Motor Vehicle Regulations (WP29).

Under this agreement, our own Rules for Motorised Vehicles (Construction and Use) 1959 were amended in 2007 to allow for the importation of cars with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) xenon HID lights in compliance with United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Regulations.

These imported vehicles may be equipped with self-levelling and self-cleaning mechanisms and even adaptive technology for their OEM xenon HID lights (in order to minimise obtrusive and blinding glare to other motorists). Locally retrofitted ones from car accessory shops are usually bare-fitted ones with no supporting safety technology and with beams improperly aligned for safe use. These are the ones that pose a danger to other motorists.

Below are the projector tuned for HID use only. Will not produce unwanted glare that blinding others motorists.

Item(s): Bi-Xenon "MiniLite" HID Projector (Factory tuned to use with HID Bulbs, no glare above cutoff, it's the best selling projector in USA with different trade-name.) nod.gif
Package includes: Bi-Xenon MiniLite Projector (MH1) + Mini Gatling Shroud + 4300k HID Bulbs + HID 35watt Ballast. (can use back existing HID 35watt ballast if you own any)
Price: (Kindly PM for serious buyer only)
Dealing method: DIY or Retrofit option available
Location of seller:KL

Professional Retrofit services is available should you require it! It can be DIY for most H4, H7 & 9006 fitting including P. Waja.

PM me your car model & year for retrofit cost.

Do you want this glare behind of you every time you on the road?? mad.gif

Sorry for the late review, after so long I finally found a suitable place to take photo of the output. The projector cut-off is really clean and sharp, it has a nice blue cutoff too.

Using 4300k bulbs from trxx7989 paired together with some china 35w ballasts, visible distance at least 30m and above. My beams are aimed quite low. If adjusted higher, should be able to touch 40m and above smile.gif

Here are some output shots, sorry for the lousy quality :/

Hi bro,

Size of the fog's too small for Minilite projector, why don't you retro it at main beam or high beam?

Thanks!

Quotation send, you wouldn't need the fog light fitted as it's wide beam cover most of the front portion. As long the accessories guy know how to smoke the headlight, the rest of the step will be very easy.

Thanks!

OK here's one for everyone!

Customer Service and Satisfaction
I met up with Jimmy twice before i decide to go ahead and buy/install this projector on my car. Obviously it's not an easy decision cuz it ain't cheap... but considering the fact that the projector light throw with HID is fantastic - i went ahead and make appointment for the work. It's a 4.5 hours work in total from drive in and drive out of the shop but boy was I in for a surprise... the light output was seriously so good that i think i kinda look like a Cayman coming from really far! I'm not exaggerating cuz it's beautiful... was the money worth it? Hell yeah! Do you want to blind the shit out of oncoming cars with your little DIY HID on reflector housing? HELL NO!!

OK enough of verbatim on how satisfied i am.. let's talk quality.

Products
The projectors and HID were imported but they are a well known brand for retrofitters - the quality doesnt really get better than this MiniLite.. Small yet powerful. The lens don't look like dingy 50rm lens.. like i said, think Cayman. THe ballast and the bulb is also amazing because when you buy "other" economical HID sets of 4300k, you'll actually be getting 6000k bulbs because for some unknown reason, they just don't make them in the right color/warmth. These 4300k and 5000k bulbs are genuinely the correct Kelvin used in Philips and other OEM kits.

Work
Jimmy is quite a perfectionist. A lot of attention to detail and he take his own sweet time to align the projectors on the lamp housing to make sure it's correct (rotationally, vertically and horizontally). Sure nobody is perfect so there is a bit of misalignment when i drove it out at night but nothing a simple screw driver won't fix. I adjusted it myself and voila - perfect. I saw a little moist in my headlamp post rain yesterday and he offered to remove and re-seal the headlamp at no cost.

Thanks Jimmy for the wonderful work. I know LYN folks are lucky to have you around.. and drivers on the road are grateful for preventing glaring HID Reflectors blinding the crap out of them. Cheers buddy thumbup.gif

Btw i know i owe you some photos but i've been busy and will be traveling for work.. will get it posted here as soon as i can.

sorry for the late feedback. im a bit bz ths week. this minilite projector has good useful width, along with sharpness, has good color, and good foreground intensity. really help when driving at nite, im enjoy it of course! biggrin.gif

here some shots i took (using samsung camera phone) for appearance and beam output

Attached Image
original-looks-like without ccfl attach. me like it! brows.gif

Attached Image
beam output at abt 50ft distance frm the wall. the wall is not wide enough to cover the output beam.

Attached Image
hi-beam plays well its part rclxms.gif

Attached Image
the cut-off still form well at 100ft. the blue color band remain thin and doesn't get blur at distant

Attached Image
as u can see, the straight cutt-off makes the projector headlamp (with HID) better than with non-projector headlamp. with proper alignment, it will shining the road without glaring the opposite car.

thanx to bro trxx7989 for retrofitting my swift! this seller is very friendly and take this job with a good care! thumbup.gif

Guys i'll recommend u guys to go direct to his shop to have it installed until u are satisfied. As for outstation buyer, buy at your own risk as mine was couriered to me at kch but later after installed found out the misalign bracket or adaptor was given to me resulting the beam pattern to slant hippotenusly instead of horizontally as it suppose to be. Plus the cables and relays provided in the package was not suitable for my ride, crv rd1 of originally using h4 sockets and system. Although Jimmy acknowledged that it is his mistake and did resend me another set of brackets and cable but still the outcome of the light pattern is still not horizontal as it is supposed to be plus the new cable is of no difference than the old 1. Currently I have to live with only be able to use low light instead of both low and high. Just a piece of note to Jimmy, please do not claim that the projector system is universal as it is not obviously and please be a more responsible by checking all your items before u courier it out to buyers. I have to note that this isn't any cheap projector set at all. Well I don't mind paying more as I'm now to reinstall the new bracket and the cable if it is working but obviously now it is not. Just a wise note to all other pottential postage buyers. Buy at your own risk.

Whoever installed by me sure satisfied because I know "how to" including few outstation DIY buyer. This is online business but still can be reach by phone call if any URGENT assistant is required. These issue can be solve by just a phone call between me & your installer during the replacement instead of writing email after that. Problem won't solve this way. Even if you buy others universal projector the alignment would still be an issue coz every h4 headlight bulb base angle is not the same. Fine tune is require, I pretty sure your installer can do it if he can operate powered hand tools. It's even simpler than fabricate a subwoofer enclosure.

After receive all your harsh & threatening email, I'm still sending over replacement item to get things solve, not to start a never ending argument like this one. I already know you going to make my life miserable as you promise to yourself because you don't call for assistant. Want to live with both beam? Give me the installer mobile no, I will communicate with them.

Bro, I feel your pain. Sometimes buyers don't understand what it means by "retrofit". There is no such kit that will have a perfect fit for every car, an experienced installer would know how to handle the situation. Case in point, the Minilite kit that I bought from you. Although for the most part it was easy to retrofit, it took me quite a while to get the beam pattern and angle to my liking. In the process I've had to adjust certain parameters that is a real PITA to do but over time I've managed to achieve a decent enough beam pattern and output.

Retrofitting is never easy, lucky for me I have the passion and patience to pry open my headlamps a few times (I think I can peel durian easily now lol...).

Actually bro, in a situation like this I'm tempted to suggest selling him the FX-R kit smile.gif No need for any bracket and stuff like that, just cut a hole in the dang reflector housing and stick it there. Forget about H4 this and that. Right?

Thanks for understanding bro, In this situation it is not suitable to use FX-R. It will make the user more PITA. With these adapter installed it has assist the alignment in position, with some fine tuned sure getting most users liking. (Next time we can go for durian without parang..LoL )

Please re-consider the obtrusive and blinding glare on opposite driver are suffering before you retrofit any HID into your beloved vehicle.

For traffic sure will not kene coz not glare like "reflector headlight + HID". Off coz the beam height must adjust lower till not glaring opposite eyes also. Some reported that J-J can't find the ballast you are free to go, plus your 'HID light' not glaring at all but they will check your fog light fitted with or not also. I strongly NOT recommend you install HID into your FOG light if you want trouble free ride....

Hope this clarify your doubt smile.gif

What so difficult to install in fog? LoL... can close one eyes...

Yes properly align, not glaring is ok edi. Only 'properly design' HID projector won't glare. Hear from you again when you grab a car later.

Thanks!
