CIMB BANK / CIMB ISLAMIC
- Basic Savings Account, Basic Current Account, Basic Savings Account-i & Basic Current Account-i > RM0.50/transfer for the first 2 IBG every month, RM1/transfer thereafter
- All other account types > RM1/transfer
**for transfers done through instant transfer, RM2 will be charged for each transfer regardless of your account type
To pay MBB2 cards using Cimbclicks, have to do 2 IBG transfer (for each card)? tq

I opened a OCBC iQ Basic account (maintain RM500 in account to avoid service charge) which offers five(5) FREE Interbank Giro (IBG) to pay other banks CC bills.
Very useful indeed.

That is nice.
I got charged RM1.00 each when I used CimbClicks to transfer to settle my SCB and OCBC bills (I-REMMIT CHARGE).
As I know, the first 2 transactions of the months are only 50 cents. Anyone can clarify?

Yea, you better check the type of account first. They might have opened a wrong account for you.

I'd like to ask, if I purchase a notebook online that cost rm1000, how long do I have to pay back the bank? Its a Public Bank credit card.
I'm still new to this so I'm not sure how it works. And how do I pay the bank back? Is it the same method as those listed in page 1?
*
You need to settle the outstanding balance 20 days (normally) from the date of your next statement to avoid extra charge. The due date is also written there. Yes, same methods as page 1.

Yeah, do pay several days before due date as processing takes time.

let say my statement date is 1st everymth.

5th march i swipe RM50. I then cleared the dept on 10th march.

then 15th march i swipe RM100, so wat do i have in 1st april? can show each balance to me? thanks smile.gif
*
From the above scenario, your outstanding balance will be RM100 (1st april).

By the way, it is not necessary for you clear the RM50 first before the statement date. Let's say you dont clear the debt on 10th march, your balance will be RM150 in the next statement (1st april). From 1st april, you are normally given 20 days interest free period to clear the balance.

The due date or last date of payment is written clearly on your statement. If you do not clear before the due date, you have to pay interest.

Hope you can understand.

Seriously a newbie of Public Bank CC holder. I wonder how to check my CC payment due date? I got my e-statement but it doesn't state...today already 22nd.. rclxub.gif gosh, I called their customer service but they were very impatient and I hesitate to further them any questions.  icon_question.gif

the e-statement should state the exact due date, look again.
else. call up CS and ask again, do not hesitate.
when is your statement date? the due date is usually 20 days after that.

This is my first time owning a credit card...got it under Standard Chartered RM300 cash back promo (no other reason why I would get one except for this tongue.gif)
Then I just realised.....I don't know how to pay my bill, lol...

From what I read, I figured that paying by cash through ATM should be free, but what if the amount is odd, do I have to do it over the counter?
If over the counter, will it incur any fee?

If I were to do it online, can I transfer from another bank's savings account to SC? I think the cost is going to be 10 cents only effective this May, yes? FYI, I haven't done any online banking before too blush.gif

If there are any better/cost effective/easier way that I may have overlooked, kindly let me know. Thanks!

maybe you can read post#1 and #2 to get some idea

Yeah, I did. But they didn't mention about the odd figure part.
That's okay, I'll look around more.

The easiest and hassle free is through IBG. The cost is minimal compared to anything that require you doing it physically.

Is it possible to settle one credit card bill from another credit card?

For example,

HSBC Credit Card bill = RM5000
HLB Credit Card credit limit = RM10000

So, can I use HLB Credit Card to online MEPS transfer RM5000 to HSBC Credit Card?
*
you can use a credit card to pay another credit card. however, you may want to read up on balance transfer.
