i have one 2 way switch(one gang) as mentioned above in my new house.
but the problem is these 2 way switch is controlling TWO light. (normally this kind of switch just control one light only).

so my question is how to re-modify and make these switch can control these TWO light separately?

i take out the switch and found 4 cable inside:

one red cable, one white cable, and two blue cable.
two blue cable was inside into L1 and L2, red & white cable was in the COM together.
if i take out either red or white cable and switch on the switch, one light won't on.

so can i just but another TWO gang 2 way switch to replace it?

Your question is a little vague. What do you mean by controlling 2 lights? At the same time, or one at a time? The diagram indicates 2 switches for 1 light (either single or multiple) at any given time.

opps, the 1st diagram i showed just an example on explaining how the 2 way switch working.
my situation is my house got this kind of 2 way switch but its controlling 2 lights at the same time. when u press one button, TWO light will on/off.

i want to modify it become pressing one button and one light will on/off.

my house original 2 way switch is one gang(one button only), so is it possible to modify become 2 gang? notworthy.gif

Since u only see 1red 1blue on the switch, that means the joining/combining is done somewhere near the light bulb itself.

U should check the light where the connecting wire is then separate it, and u will need to re-wire/sambung one of the light wire to a different switch..

wow, if need to sambung another wire, then its may become quite difficult oledi, hmmm will go n check later,
because i tot only need to modify the switch, sweat.gif

I think you not only need to add another 2 switches but to add for each light another set of cabling.

Best of luck DIY.
