Is all the Maybank Malaysia swift code same ?

No difference between all branches in Malaysia ?

If yes could anyone state them down.

If i'm not mistaken, not all branches have their own swift code. You can call up the branch manager for the actual branch number to be used with the swift code.

worth the pin since many of us are working overseas and sometimes bank require the SWIFT code when we need to T/T money back to our local bank.

No need lar. Just use MBBEMYKL for any branch. All incoming TT goes thru MBB HQ first and then rerouted to your account.

i am from kota kinabalu sabah. my near branch is at lintas. what is the swift code for that or use the same swift code as in kk? MBBEMYKLKIN, and why maybank have so much bank code?

Other bank swift code available as well like RHB, Public Bank, CIMB, Hong Leong etc.

just an update, i check with Maybank today, if you want transfer money from foreign country for individual, the correct swift code is - MBBEMYKL
and the address is - Menara Maybank, No 100, Jalan Tun Perak, 50050. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

and the officer said currently only that is the 1 currently using.



if you transfer money from USA, you'll need extra info from Maybank. (i TT from Europe).

Just received information from Maybank..

The code is MBBEMYKL.

SWIFT code should be the same.. only the address should be the branch you open your account at.

Beware of SWIFT TT facilities .. they are freaking expensive and the fess are anybody's guess. And the banks always tell one side of the story so get ready to pay more in fees. Next time I will use Western Union.

From this thread, i understand that to receive inwards TT from oversea, we need to put in the SWIFT code as MBBEMYKL for Maybank accounts. What should we fill in about bank address?

Should the bank address be the bank brack for MBBEMYKL SWIFT code OR the bank branch address nearest/easiest for you to access OR the address that your bank account was first opened, ie home branch?

No need to care which brand your account is held.

All is using MBBEMYKL as all wire remittance is processed by HQ!!!

I send money home from overseas nearly every month.
Just enter MBBEMYKL as the swift code, and also there is no requirement to enter the bank address.
I just need to write the bank branch where I opened that account, that's all.

No problems for me so far.
Just the SWIFT code, the bank name, and the branch name.
For example, MBBEMYKL, Maybank, Mutiara Damansara branch.

Who on earth would go and memorise the address of their bank branch?

Actually asked the payer. They usually use the KL one as well

Anyone who uses online systems the branch address will be automatically filled to the KL one, but SWIFT is always the same.

Maybank: MBBEMYKL
Citibank: CITIMYKL
Public Bank: PBBEMYKL

if you not urgent, just email them and ask, normally will get response within 3-5 working days
