hi brothers and sisters. I am a new user of DHD bought from digi.
There are a few problems that i am facing right now.
1) Speaker Volume (when the phone rings) is too low and its already on max.
2) Battery drain. I've off the GPS and other widgets , however i left the 3G enabled.

I am not too sure whether these issue has been discussed before or not. Sorry guys, i've no time to go through. Can someone show me the light ? Thanks.

hey guys, whats the custom rom that will solve my issues?
battery drain and low speaker volume... i just got my unit less than a week...should i start to learn how to do rooting and flashing ?

actually battery drainage issue is still ok for me as i've always got my usb cable with me and a car charger while im on the go ...
but the sound its preety bad ...volume too low and sound quality like burst speaker. Is it besause of the SRS effect?
Anyway to turn it off ?

ohh...i guess i cant flash to custom rom now...few days ago i've update the FOTA...
so i'll better stick with the stock rom ...but i think no difference la ..volume still soft and sound quality like burst speaker...

hehe..i think its ok la..dun wanna poison my phone yet..wait till i couldnt tahan anymore with stock rom then only flash la...

Wah.. i am also using stock rom and updated through FOTA but mine drain like hell...
mind to share what settings u are using? what applications to close and whats not ?..
I left my 3g running so that i'll get notifications when ppl update on facebook...
its like 2-3% drain in half an hour even i am not using the phone (idle).
Thats y i need to have my usb cable stand by. Anyway, i bought my phone just for a week. and i did not calibrate my battery mentioned on the 1st page.

hey bro, judging from my style of using the phone (like not turning 3g OFF at all), will flashing to a custom rom solve my problem?
If i flash to a custom rom, will it drain so fast ? (even with 3g on)
Anyway u r on stock rom with latest Fota update right? the ringtone seems like too soft and quality is bad. Can u really tahan ar ? any workaround other than flasing ?

Anyway, i understand that we cant root with the latest update of FOTA, but is it permanent of just that ppl havent figure out how to do so?

its a battery saver software..
i've tried it..not bad but sometime it totally shuts off the 3g ..

hmm...in this case then better not do anything yet la ...
im running on stock rom with the latest FOTA update.

i always need 3g to be on, so even if i flash to a custom rom, it wont help much la.. (have to always charge it)
if want to upgrade then really have to do a lot of things la ..haih ..y did i pressed the update button..

question: is the new FOTA update root-able in future ?
