Just got my 6gv2, i tried both blackwidow and 6gv2. Personally i like the blackwidow clicky feel more and the standard enter and layout but i pick the 6gv2 for a few reason.
There is 2 dead blackwidow that just died for no reason at the seller shop after a few weeks, the glossy finish is just wrong.... i sold my mirror after 2 days of getting it just for the reason cause it might look shinny at first but it will scratch a lot and u have to clean it every 5 mins. Lastly there has been a few reports as well for key sticking which too i got from the razer lycosa mirror before and had exchange twice before i just give up.
And yes i exchange it twice in 2 days for the lycosa mirror lol........

Not sure y u r picking on the gaming brand from me since i never said i have to buy a so call gaming brand one.... ur definition of gaming brand is loosely put as well since most mechanical keyboard on this thread are bought for gaming??

I dont favour them as well, blackwidow choice of material is crap but i do sometimes want a backlight keyboard so it does have it uses.
I'm obviously not a pro at mechanical keyboards but i do want a keyboard that can be bought and exchange locally in malaysia if there is a problem and the choices here are painfully limited unfortunately. Posting it back to the states or europe for warranty and getting it back just aint my thing really. And no matter the quality there is always a few unlucky ones that do get defect items (p.s im usually one of them....)
So if there is a distro bringing in more choices will definitely get my thumbs up and cash lol....

QUOTE(wct @ May 11 2011, 04:21 PM) I just got back from CEX in Seri Kembangan. As mentioned b4 in the previous post, CEX have filco in their shops with the variants of blue/brown/red switches. The retail price for tenkeyless is RM390 and RM429 for the fullsize(blue and brown switches). Red switches is priced at Rm500++.. I c in their post in lyn says pre order didnt know they have it already, how would u rate them in terms of build quality? Review says the materials arent that good but i personally dont take reviews 100%. Also red doesnt have that clicky sound that the blue makes rite? Maybe i need to go visit them next time i go to KL....

It says this keyboard has 3 different version of mixed cherry keys
1)Black with numberpad area blue cherry keys 2)Brown with numberpad area blue cherry keys 3)Blue with spacebar green? no idea never seen green ; ;
Various improvements from the 1087 model, full nkro with ps2, 6 key rollover with usb. Fixed unbalance issues with keyboard.
Seller has 985 total feedback and a rating of 4.8/5
It does not mention anywhere that it is english layout but the picture shown is english layout.

i would think 4.8/5 it would equal to an ebay rating of 92% ish, comments that i saw was all good maybe got a few bad ones ill say its pretty safe. Note that it stated after 15 days warranty postage is fully paid by the buyer and the standard if package is damaged when received it is up to the receiver and the courier to settle.
