uumm. Between XArmour and SS 6Gv2, which one is the better choice? if you don't look at what switches they are using.
is XArmour build quality good? http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-...ef=pd_rhf_p_t_3 or http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-6Gv2-Mec...d/dp/B0038X3ZVM wanted to get Das Keyboard S Professional or Zowie Celeritas, but too bad they don't ship directly to Malaysia. those doing fowarding services in BO is charging crazy expensive |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Apr 10 2011, 05:19 PM) They both should be very good choices for keyboards. But the steelseries should be better build. The XArmour, IIRC, has the same OEM with the Razer BW hahaa, the problem now is that I must get it from Amazon. Someone gave me a gift card If you want the Das Keyboard so badly, heres a link to get it from taiwan. http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=store&fun..._NO=DCAH28&tm=u Its just that it comes with chinese letterings. Otherwise, its sebjii a Das keyboard. Alternatively, you can also try taobao. The forwarding charges are not as ridiculous as the ones charged for US shipping. I guess I have no choice but to get SS 6Gv2. anyway, do you know where I can test one? I'm afraid that I don't really like Black switches. around KL or PJ area will do. |

just wondering, what keyboard can I get if my budget is around RM250+?
prefer Cherry MX Brown, non-glossy surface and probably one that is not too big nor not too small. And numpad is a must, cause I use them everyday. I cannot read those taobao thingy, went to a chinis school, but somehow still chinis illiterate |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 09:59 AM) doesn't need to be from PC Home, I'm just giving an example I don't know those Taiwan online shops. what will you recommend me? as long as the price includ shipping shouldn't hit more than 6Gv2's price, furthest I can go is RM10+ of 6Gv2's price. |

QUOTE(lucidlts @ May 7 2011, 10:26 AM) PLUM? heard of that brand but I did a quick Google search and found no results uhhmm. Let's say if I raise my budget to RM350? what can I expect? oh yeah, PS2 is fine, cause my mobo still have that port. |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 10:37 AM) RM10+ 6GV2 price? That is almost RM400 already... Hmm. Around RM390 only For that price, you can go for Ducky 900x series for sure. Alternatively, you can wait for Cyclone's Leopold to arrive by Malaysia. Or if you simply want to spend less and dont care bout features(multimedia keys or NKRO and so on), you can go for PLUM Mini 89. It is cheap and should fit in less than RM200(shipped) Cyclone's Leopold? which model is he taking? actually I don't really need some extra features. Like macro keys, backlight etc. but numpad is a MUST, I always use it, very important to me. But I noticed that a lot of mech keyboard doesn't come with one I like SS 6Gv2, the size, texture finish and design. But the drawback is the MX Black and keys placement which I can't stand it at all. |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 10:55 AM) Brown switch full keyboard under RM 350/390 shipped? then I shall wait for Cyclone's bulk Seems like Ducky 900x is the best choice. Alternatively go for the Leopold i mentioned just now(not sure if Cyclone bring in brown switch in 1st batch), which specific model for Ducky 900x? |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 10:55 AM) If you plan to mod the switch in future, this board is highly recommended. how much is the exchange rate now? Cherry G80 3000 http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9521379108&frm= If you want alternative or cheaper option other than Ducky, here is another 2. PLU http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7832368778&frm= Noppoo http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7757296530&frm= Cherry G80, nahh. Don't think I wanna mod it or even have the time to do it, + white color is fugley. the PLU ML-3000 looks interesting. actually something simple like that will do, but I'll keep my eye open on other choices too. the Noppo Choc black color looks pretty interesting too, but I prefer the PLU ML-3000. let's say if I take the PLU one, can I change the keycaps? is the keycaps something like 'universal' one? Added on May 7, 2011, 11:15 am QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 11:12 AM) Cyclone's not bulk, he is the distributor. Cyclonechuah wor? Ducky 900x having 4 model, 9000, 9008, 9000G2 and 9008G2. Normally, go for either 9000 or 9008 is enough and it is the cheaper one which will fit in your budget(about RM310 shipped). Okay, I'll look into 9000 or 9008. QUOTE(lucidlts @ May 7 2011, 11:30 AM) PLU ML-G3000 USB NKRO Edition owner here. lol this one? http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7832368778&frm=from the price, u can get USB NKRO, some extra media keys, POM keycaps (doesnt really matters). ML-3000 and ML-G3000 same ah? what do you mean get the USB NKRO? same design but different model? oh yeah, I want to buy the keycaps with the board at one go. Prefer to have red caps with wording at the bottom, something like this. ![]() the price at taobao is chinis currency right? that means 428yuan = RM200+? |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 02:55 PM) The site from Taobao there quote that it is having USB NKRO, is it true? wait, the yuan stated at the taobao link is RMB? I wonder how much is it when it reaches Malaysia.Added on May 7, 2011, 2:58 pm Agent price is normally using price in RMB divide by 1.8 or 1.9(by which those different from currency exchange is their commission). Some seller using the rate of 2/1.25 for which they claimed that include international shipping. Not sure the details like weight and so on though. I think I've made a decision to get ML-3000 + maybe some keycaps. dayum, how do I know which one is USB and PS2? I don't mind anyone actually, guess I'll take the cheaper one. Added on May 7, 2011, 3:13 pm QUOTE(KepalaRadio @ May 7 2011, 03:11 PM) I highly recommend you getting the 9XXX series, as the built quality is far more superior than the 1XXX series, not to mention the price different is quite insignificant and it suits your budget. uumm. Can you give me the taobao link? cannot find the word 'Ducky' at the menu. This post has been edited by TechnoG: May 7 2011, 03:13 PM |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ May 7 2011, 07:30 PM) thanks alot for everyone to provide support to newbies here and keeping this thread active, and someone too that helps me to inform leopold is coming, got my hands full this few day. quite busy at a moment. uuhhmm. Which Leopold are you bringing in?Added on May 7, 2011, 7:37 pm QUOTE(larnelle @ May 7 2011, 04:44 PM) Bro, fffuuu. I got poisoned by this fyi, I just bought a Ducky DK9000 ( http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&func...3779&c=A05&tm=u ) from PCHOME with a total of RM303 including shipping to Malaysia. Took me 5 days to get it here in KK due to holiday (Labor day). Peninsular should be faster perhaps 2-3days. If you don't like the chinese/japanese lettering, you can change the keycaps later by maybe joining bulks or buy it from taobao. Really happy using it now, the tactile feeling reminds me of the good old days playing Half-Life / Counterstrike Beta 7.0 and chatting mIRC in Dalnet & Undernet server with friends.. I think imma get this instead, fits my budget perfectly too. Mind asking, you got it from which 'bulker'? regarding the lettering, I think it is fine. Looks exactly like my previous Dell keyboard. o wait, this keyboard right? MX Brown? ![]() This post has been edited by TechnoG: May 7 2011, 07:37 PM |

QUOTE(lucidlts @ May 7 2011, 07:44 PM) ducky 9000? all ducky boards have black, brown, blue or maybe red. need to tell the seller the switch color before buying. okay, didn't know about that anyway, is Ducky 9000 a good buy? any major issues with it? the price is attractive. and I was wondering what is the difference between all those Ducky 900x. or should I wait for Leopold? how much is the average price? in terms of quality, Leopold or Ducky? |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ May 7 2011, 08:52 PM) Isn't we stated in previous post b4? you did not explain as detailed as this In short, ducky having 6 models of KB and each model having blue, black and brown options(red had just joined 9000G2 and may be 9008G2). Low end or entry level = 100x 1008 1087 High end = 900x 9000(same as 9008, just that lack of those 4 extra keys on right top, replaced by a huge Ducky logo) 9008(9000 with 4 extra keys) 9000G2(refreshed version of 9000, having new PCB design and USB NKRO) 9008G2(refreshed version of 9008, same like 9000G2, the Tiger Year Limited Edition is one of 9008G2). I think imma get 9000G2. I'm not that keen on extra multimedia keys, doesn't make sense on me imho. what about Lepold? should I wait for it or just go ahead and grab 9000G2? gonna purchase it next week or the following week. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ May 7 2011, 11:19 PM) well, i can't say much because i distribute Leopold, saying stuff wouldn't justify anything. >_< nevermind, at least I can get some input for Leopolds. For quality wise, i think Leopold are better, but for feature wise, ducky is still the winner here as it has multimedia key and FN key, and support for mac and linux as it could change key position.(i love my DK-9008 T_T but quality not good, sob) Leopold still have full keyboard and a tenkeyless model, Full keyboard has Black, Brown, Red. ( Blue not yet available, quality under inspection in manufacturer) Tenkeyless keyboard has black, brow, blue. ( Red not yet available ) for Leopold space problem, i am proposing a fix to it,. hopefully the new keyboard they release will be able to fit filco space bar. I checked VR-Zone, and the Leopold full is selling for $159, which is around RM380? too much for me. guess I'll stick to Ducky 9000. I'm not a fan of multimedia keys, nor do I even use them. But then I can't live without macro buttons of a mouse *edit PC Home is something like Amazon? when I search Ducky 9000, tons of keyboard comes out? thanks guys! my mandarin seriously sucks.
so I've found what I want, http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=item&func...3&ROWNO=15&tm=u and when I Google translate it, this came out 'three sizes available (Chinese / English / no engraving)'. Means that I can choose which language keycaps I want? I found out that 9008 and 9000 is selling at the same price is there any other difference other than the extra 4 keys? |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ May 8 2011, 07:37 PM) No difference. Some people may prefer the logo, some people may not Hmm. I prefer the Ducky logo rather than the 4 media keys. But at the same time I love the Ducky logo at the spacebar too The one available is the Chinese keycaps only for MX Brown. 9008 for Browns are sold out at PCHOME You mean the link I've posted don't have the English keycaps for MX Brown? dayum. |
