If BW's encasing was made out of textured plastic I would have soooo bought it for the blue switches.

well, people can't take the risk =/

even if want to do a complete sanding, need to disassemble the keyboard/voiding warranty.

Excatly as i thought, the price wont even be ''cheap'' until more affordable price(RM4xx). Filco's SRP in Malaysia is overpriced(import from almost any other country will still be cheaper) and somemore Moderno always sell things at SRP... So in short, FILCO is overpriced in Malaysia. mad.gif

Extra WASD at extra RM50? vmad.gif This is total madness as PCHome can give it for free... doh.gif

Paying the extra RM100 for 1 year warranty? hmm.gif  I rather test my luck with PChome. rolleyes.gif

Clycone, faster bring your Leopold and make Filco guling tikar from Malaysia!!!! shakehead.gif

I'm just thinking that the FILCO's need more volume. If there's more volume, the price will go down. But how many people is willing to spend more than Rm100 for a keyboard?

I have to correct myself
"Not many people are willing to spend more than RM400 for a keyboard"
Thus we have a chicken and egg situation. If nobody is buying more due to the price, will there be a price drop from high volume?

As to your question, black switches are in the steelseries 6gv2 and 7G. Suggest u give it a try before buying it.
If you want cheaper, then have to import. Or join that bulk for the PLUM in GS

Well you should've bought them together with your taobao purchase huh.
The bump in the printing should wear off soon enough. Then you'll have lower contrast keys, but they feel smooth enough.
Alternatively, you can see who wants to sell their extra keycaps.

uumm. Between XArmour and SS 6Gv2, which one is the better choice? if you don't look at what switches they are using.
is XArmour build quality good?

http://www.amazon.com/XArmor-U9W-wireless-...ef=pd_rhf_p_t_3
or
http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-6Gv2-Mec...d/dp/B0038X3ZVM

wanted to get Das Keyboard S Professional or Zowie Celeritas, but too bad they don't ship directly to Malaysia.
those doing fowarding services in BO is charging crazy expensive mad.gif

They both should be very good choices for keyboards. But the steelseries should be better build. The XArmour, IIRC, has the same OEM with the Razer BW

If you want the Das Keyboard so badly, heres a link to get it from taiwan.
http://global.pchome.com.tw/?mod=store&fun..._NO=DCAH28&tm=u

Its just that it comes with chinese letterings. Otherwise, its sebjii a Das keyboard. Alternatively, you can also try taobao. The forwarding charges are not as ridiculous as the ones charged for US shipping.

hahaa, the problem now is that I must get it from Amazon. Someone gave me a gift card nod.gif
I guess I have no choice but to get SS 6Gv2.

anyway, do you know where I can test one? I'm afraid that I don't really like Black switches.
around KL or PJ area will do.

Gift card you can sell. More people buy stuff from Amazon than you think. Those Blu-Ray peeps at Blu-Ray thread, they get a lot of their fix from Amazon, and are more than happy to let you part with your gift card.

To test one, go to computer shops I guess? Digital Mall + Lowyat is your best bet. I am not very sure about pc fair but they did have booth and the keyboards were on display anyway. Well its not no choice, there are plenty of places to get them. PCHOME and Taobao are nice places.

Alternatively, try 99hk.biz. His keyboards are not the cheapest, shipping is about RM60 via EMS the last time I asked. Maybe you can find something you like there.
