You have weird tastes in keyboards.

Here's to hoping the Leopolds are selamat and sejahtera
@cyclone, my spacebars are brown, just like the rest of the keyboard.

So does this means that Cherry corp manufacture switches in batches - one to be sent to Taiwan with a higher rate of QC at a higher price as compared to the ones sent to China?

I'm intrigued.
*
If he is referring to QC, yes, it is possible that FILCOs may have better QCs than say, PLUs or Duckies (stupid LEDs), but if he is referring to Cherry choosing to sell lower grade switches, then that is doubtful. Maybe Diatec tells him so, then it must be true biggrin.gif . Although, there has been doubts on the Cherry picked Cherry Blue switches on the Razer BW.

He's just doing the typical marketing talk. You know, the typical "My stuff is the best or among the best in the whole wide world" kinda talk. Can't blame him for that.
Have you ever meet a salesman that says "Don't buy my stuff, they suck, you can get cheaper stuff there". Leave him be

had one of the first batches of steel series 7G. but i need the logitech screen panel ppl. hard to explain but it has to do with crossloading
of vgpu voltage that needs to be monitored  to make sure theres no issues with the switch from idle states to performance states on nvidia
gc's.

btw are u still using some bling bling crappy fans or going to get some real fans like some noiseblockers or u already have one
or serious casings like caslab, lian li, fractal etc or still using bling bling casings that weigh a ton or u already have one..
the list goes on lol.

personally dont see how that keyboard is going to enrich mylife at all lol.

personal pref i guess.

but was a treat just now having felt the difference with all 3

so is this the best money can buy or something like that
*
The LCDs, I might be talking out of what I know anyway, but since you need all these monitoring done, why not get a 6" or 7" extended LCD, would that suit your needs for your extreme monitoring?
Oh btw, I'm too cheap to upgrade my fans and rams and cooling once I get them, and still stuck with the stock bling blings.
_____________________________________________________
Alright, cutting the threadcrapping , and on to serious mode

Too bad you can't be bothered with them keyboards.
If you want the best money can buy, and not the overpriced crap like the Optimus or custom wood keyboards, consider the Happy Hacking Keyboard or the Topre Realforce.
Maybe you could try them out. In singapore it is a tad overpriced at $400 SGD but since you asked for the best money could buy thats the nearest place you can try. Or maybe you know some other people with the HHKB. That's what I think anyway. Maybe some other people consider the IBM Industrial Mini at $500 the best their money could buy for all I know.

i am using a Razer Lycosa now..
a brand new replacement for my faulty one (used for 9mths)
i also have a list of issue with it...

The RMA units works just fine and i notice that Razer have upgraded (or modified) a few things (it feels great) and i have no problem with this keyboard now..
What i want to say is..at least Razer did improve from their previous mistakes...
But from the info u guys provided...
seems like i really shouldnt get a BWU NOW if i want to go for a mechanical keyboard..

however, like what i mention earlier in this thread..
i always type in dark condition...and lighting is 1 feature for me..
but there just aren't any mechanical keyboard with backlights in m'sia market except BWU...
any mech KB with back lights to intro? or shud i jus buy a torch tongue.gif

3m carbon sticker? sounds interesting...
but wonder if it will be a lot of work to do to cut the sticker out..

Get the ducky with blanks with Cherry MX blues from PCHOME. Still RM30X shipped to Malaysia last time I checked.
Maybe you can learn your touch typing that way huh?

FILCO AI??
The total comes up to be about RM420 for a full size N-key FILCO. For that price, I wonder if you just go to get from Moderno/CEX is better, since they come with warranty and the version-2 boards. Though most people can't tell the difference anyway

Looks like Ducky has just recently announced their new line of 9008 G2 product.

Here it is; http://www.duckychannel.com.tw/en/products1-5.html

Apparently they are now using "embedded" keycaps with no printings on them o.O Looks sexy as hell if you'd ask me <(^.^<)<(^.^)>(>^.^)>

i m using black switch

i max can get 85wpm(average around 75 to 78) with plenty of alpabet,
if with a lot symbol 5x to 6xwpm.

but when i typing i always bottom it,
how to train touch typing?
i tried touch typing( not bottom it ) but will make me slower. lol
i heard that after switch from membrane keyboard to mechanical keyboard will always bottom it, but i already used 2 years mechanical keyboard, still like this  sweat.gif
*
Touch typing does not mean not bottoming out.
The term for not bottoming out is ....not bottoming out.

Touch typing means not looking at the keyboard while you type.

If it doesn't say, means it does not have it. Plus it comes with Chinese letterings, I'm not a big fan of those, although you could probably buy blank keycaps and mod it, but that step cost money.

i guess everyone has their own preference lulz. when i typed on black (ss6gv2) my fingers hurt ._. even while gaming lulz. Wondering is brown exactly same as blue but without the noise?? Been doing some browsing in overclockerz and they seem to picture it that way ._.
*
Blues has a sharper tactile point than the Browns, but you can say that their feeling is quite close without the noise but they are not identical.

Nice video. It does sound really accurate too, which is kinda the most important part in videos like this.

@cyclone

Please add these.
CODE
[*][color=green]kaiserreich[/color] - Ducky DK-9008 ( Cherry Mx brown with ABS Blanks )

[*][color=green]Kaiserreich[/color] - IBM Model M 59G7980 'Lexmark' (1993) (Buckling spring)

@cyclone, sorry about that. Got it rectified.

Anyone went back to try their rubber domes to see how they suck? Mine really is awful. I can barely type without making a typo. The take so much force to actuate from a MX brown and the keys feel really cheap.

LOL indeed i does feel a little odd(or a little more than that) when go back my Logitech k120 but yet i feel happier to play action games on it than my BW. sweat.gif
*
Lol a K120. That thing is so mushy, it feels like a RM10 keyboard
Though I don't understand why you don't want to game on your BW.

I put on my old Logitech for fun because i was eating on my table, and man, I couldn't say how awful it is.
Maybe I'll need to get a poker just for on the go situations.

On a side note, FILCOs are up on CZONE's price list. Price is same as Moderno.

Yuck, non ANSI placement of the right shift and the question marks. Bothers me a lot. Plus the BIGASS enter key.
I like my keyboards to be ANSI layout

Nobody but Moogle needs USB NKRO anyway laugh.gif

What does it mean by "tactile" ? Means easy to press down? What's the cheapest for mech keyboard? Im a newbie..
*
Tactile means that there is a bump when you press the key.
Normal rubber domes and scissor switch type keyboards do have these tactile feeling too.

As to cheapest Mech Keyboard, maybe you can tell us your budget? New or Used?
If you want really cheap, then try to obtain the Dell At101W with black ALPS for about RM70 shipped from Taobao
Or a IBM Model M for less than Rm100 from there too.

If you want it new with warranty, then the Razer Black Widow is a decent entry level keyboard.
Otherwise, try PCHOME and look at their range of Ducky keyboards where the cheapest at NT$2190 comes up to be about RM260 shipped
Another alternative is Inpad Taiwan which ships internationally and their cheapest Ducky board starts at NT$1990. As to the shipping charge, it is uncertain but the store contact seems very friendly and told me that they need to give a quote on shipping fees based on the weight. Which comes to be about NT$400 for Air Parcel if you are willing to wait 1-2 weeks for the keyboard to arrive or Roughly NT$700 via EMS which arrives in about 3 days after the item is shipped based on the shipping rates but the Taiwanese Postal Service
