QUOTE(Duke Red @ Mar 29 2011, 02:05 PM) Same can be said for our fans, no? Stop whining and cursing just because he's gone. well i think most of us just can't help it with the whining and cursing. The manner in which he chose to leave Liverpool has influenced the reaction he received from the supporters. Said wouldn't move to another premier league club(did that) and said would stay in Liverpool years to come(couple of months we see him packing). When there's a problem you face it, you don't run away. He could have a stayed till the end of the season and help our rising at least. But what has happen turn out to be a blessing in disguise...we brought in two good players and the future looks bright i might sayBefore being defensive let's look at the situation shall we? He's continously cited how things were bad at Liverpool, and how there were many problems. Is this true? If it isn't, then let's defend our position but sometimes you have to call a spade, a spade. Fact is we were in bad shape pre-Kenny. You think Torres calls up the media to tell them these things because he has nothing better to do? If it's in the press, it's because the media ask him questions and he's giving an honest assessment of what the situation was. Are the problems he's cited not the same we've been complaining about? About how the owners screwed the club over. About how morale was low. About how we look like we were on a decline, especially under Hodgson. He's never had a bad thing to say about the fans has he? He has never disrespected the traditions at the club has he? |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Mar 29 2011, 03:30 PM) I don't agree with how he left either. Like I said much earlier though, you have to ask yourself if you really meant it when you uttered the name "Fernando Torres" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" in the same sentence? I did. Just because Torres is somewhat of a hypocrite, it doesn't mean we have to be as well. He may be gone from us but it still puts a smile on my face whenever the Torres song plays in my head. haha...it does and i still enjoy watching his goals on youtube,...he gave us some really memorable moments and i hope he gets his chelsea goal next season(jk, jk) |

QUOTE(eugene_tan6 @ Mar 30 2011, 02:03 PM) Gerrard is poised to return this weekend. Heck yes! Any news bout kelly? Key players are required in these key moments of the season. BTW gerrard was stripped from his vice captain post for the 3 lions. great news indeed...don't think kelly will be back though. As for the vice captaincy & captaincy crap has got too stop, i'm still wondering why are their making a big huu-ha for england's captaincy and i frankly couldn't care less who their captain or vice cap't is. Way too much drama for something which is really not that important. Capello must be scratching his head with this nonsense This post has been edited by shenmue: Mar 30 2011, 02:12 PM |

QUOTE(madfag @ Mar 30 2011, 03:58 PM) the England fans of rival clubs might have huge problems with what he has done but I dont see any player in the England squad making a fuss about Terry returning as captain. maybe theres one or two...rio and bridge prolly, haha......well the manager has made the decision, i don't think anyone's gonna object to that. Terry is a good captain no doubt and if England is playing better under that circumstances then it'd be best to leave at thatwell, i too dont know what exactly is the impact of a captain in a football team but im sure there is a boost of morale if certain players are captain. no? hmmmm, then should joe hart be captain? a keeper rarely changes so the arm band doesnt get passed around. i cant think of even one outfield player who cements a spot. even lampard is rumoured to be dropped ahead of wilshere. QUOTE(hfi @ Apr 3 2011, 12:11 AM) It's just Spearing imo. Lucas was decent but he couldnt commit himself to any attacking move because Spearing was all over the place. Creativity wasn;t the issue. It was holding up play that really screwed us big time. Carroll can't seem to stand on his feet for someone his size and Kuyt was careless with the ball. Only Suarez managed to get hold onto the ball. holding the ball today was bad, carroll and kuyt especially.....and both our defensive midfielders weren't making much forward run....both also stay back...they expect suarez to do miracles every week probably |
