lol compare again?
Both are different types of player =)
But there is one thing i am sure about Torres is that, "1 chance scoring opportunity = 1 goal = finishing is superb"...
He dont need the second chance to get his goals...

Meanwhile Suarez is more to a team player... thumbup.gif

and Rafa do attracts Spanish players here ...
I bet Torres wouldnt come to Liverpool at first if Rafa wasnt in charge at that time...
Luis Garcia, Josemi, Nunez, Alonso... hmmm =)
Not forgetting the Fernando Morientes as well... what a sad sad buy, at that moment, Rafa had the chance to get David Villa for 7million pound, but ended getting Morientes for 6m...

Liverpool FC's squad were never close in terms of depth when compared to Man Utd or Chelsea or to a certain extent, Arsenal. And among these, only Arsenal spent less than us in building a team. When Rafa came, his largest spending was before G&H's era and nobody could argue how well Liverpool FC were progressing, however, did Man Utd or Chelsea stop spending then? No, they were and still investing even till today.

Man Utd were crowned as the Premier League champions before they splurged 30 million pounds on Berbatov, so should we not spend more than 10k after getting a respectable 2nd place? Chelsea were champions last season, but they did not stop their spending, they bought Torres and Luiz, that's more than 70 million pounds spent without considering who they have bought before the start of the season.

Liverpool did buy Aquilani after selling Alonso and he failed in his first season due to injuries, Rafa's biggest mistake so far, but let's just see, Drogba took a while to start perform didn't he? Veron didn't come cheap as well. What about Shevchenko? Has Anderson live up to his value so far? Even the great Arsene Wenger failed at Francis Jeffers so Rafa must buy good all the time?

In terms of free transfer, ok, Rafa sucked at getting players for free, but I don't see Chamakh performing at Arsenal yet and he was highly rated. I have never heard of Voronin or Aurelio prior to their arrival at the club. So I would overlook such transfers.

I do not want Rafa back for now, but to call him a failure at Liverpool? I would defend him for the man deserves better recognition than that.

Failed at Francis Jeffers? I think it is more applicable for Jose Antonio Reyes =) Jeffers was just an average player...He wasnt meant to be a top class clinical goal scorer i guess, though he starts a number of games for Arsenal during his 2001 to 2004 period..

Brazilians speak Portuguese so Mereiles can speak to Lucas or Aurelio if he feels lonely.

Coentrao value has risen substantially and with a host of other Champions League clubs likely to bid for him, it's unlikely we'll see him in Anfield red given we're likely to be out of Europe altogether. Enrique is a more viable option although it is rumoured that Barca are interested.

Suarez is quite close to Lucas too i think haha..

Yea, Fabio Coentrao = brilliant.. thumbup.gif

if aqua back in the squad,
lucas will be butthurt liao .. no place 4 him ..and youngster will not have chance
KD like to play 433 now i suppose .. unless a player is injured ..

maybe sell aqua to buy winger ?? LIV didnt have width and a good crosser for carrol ..

It would be my dream fantasy if Joey Barton comes..
Dont get me wrong, i see a number of lob long balls from Joey to Carroll and he made the most of out them, back to Newcastle's days...
Wingers are essential, Dimitri Payet wub.gif

Joey Barton has a real colourful disciplinary record to say the least. The good thing is he's scouse. I don't see a fit for him though especially since Spearing has earned himself a contract extension. Pretty similar players if you ask me.

I missed that point laugh.gif

Flanno plays really well... just 18 years old and i think he is good, period... I suggest if he gets more experience playing at europe, this kid is something real..!
Moving on, Robinson's acceleration = thumbs up... Those tiny little fast one shot burst of pace that comes out from him to block those crosses i mean..

Unlucky for Luiz Suarez... Didnt really score... Expect 1 chance (2nd goal)..

QUOTE(rushmode @ Apr 24 2011, 12:47 AM)
suarez is better than torres because he's not selfish. he was pain in the ass for defenders because he can both scores and create chances for other team mate.

he was unlucky not to score (kuyt goal) but he's a good finisher. his records in eredivisie proofs it. eventhough eredivisie is no bpl.. i believe he'll come around. just be patient
*
In terms of finishing, Torres is formidable...
Both type of players are different..
Torres is more to a one man show rather than teamwork, like 1-2 pass...
Put in this way, dont let Torres gets into a 1 on 1 keeper situation, he will add his goals collection =)
And dont forget that Torres last time are being mark tightly, which automatically creates space for others like Gerrard to burst through in..
Meanwhile Suarez is more creative, trickier, skillful, which something i dont see the former number 9 do last time...

QUOTE(cherroy @ Apr 29 2011, 04:05 PM)
Sadly to say, it is true.

Being tackled, roll 3x 5x on the field, screaming like cannot stand the pain, 2 mins later, sprinting again like nothing happen before.
Without it, you don't get penalty, free kick.

It is become silly if opponent kick your leg, you still standing firm, must fall down, roll and scream.
*
Well, if the player is really hurt, i dont think he can roll 3x or 5x...
The real hurt, your hands will be automatically holding it...
Rolling is definitely a sign of pretending..

credit to kuyt's intelligent assist...  notworthy.gif
suarez has made an impact... but carroll still... i guess the price tag does burden him just like torres in chelsea... hope carroll will improve his game and bang in goals after goals...  rclxm9.gif

*
Yea Kuyt ada intelligence niiii thumbup.gif
Anyway,
You dont expect a player to score week in week out riteee?
Its hard you know...
But the 2 goals he scored against ManC proves how well he can strike the ball with his left and his physical presence that cause havoc in opposition's defense..

QUOTE(fzul07 @ May 2 2011, 12:36 AM)
our remaining:

09/05    Away    Fulham
15/05    Home    Spurs
22/05    Away      Villa

I think the most tricky one is with Fulham.. Because Fulham performance recently quite good.. hmm.gif
*
All three matches are tricky i must say...
Teams which are playing in top flight BPL league are all good teams... whistling.gif
One match @ a time, fulham here we come...
