By the way, i just want to ask u guys opinion on something. Do u guys think it is wise for Gerrard to retire from international football now if he decided to do so?
If he decides so I wouldn't mind. After all England is in the process of rebuilding with young players coming in.
But if he continues to be selected for England, then I hope he plays with more attacking role and less defensive duty because he surely can't track back quick enough like he used to. I think he will continue to play if got selected. Surely he wants to add as many medal possible before retirement.
Aurelio got good cross, can put in in swinger cross, which defender generally has difficult time for such a cross, perfect match for Carroll aerial ability to score goal.
Yup I still remember how his cross effortlessly found Crouch in his hatrick against Arsenal.
Earning money from CL is not the same as winning the CL (which he did in the first season, largely with Houllier's players) and Torres was not sold by RB, by the way - cannot add that to RB's credit.
[rant] Of course he did with GH players. Do you expect him to come in his first season and change the whole team so he can claim that he win [insert any cup here] with his own players? [/end rant]
Carroll is going to play some part in a friendly tonight. Let's hope he come out of it unscathed. Well I prefer if he doesn't play at all. But it will be good for his confidence if he can get a goal or two.
Ok, lets divert our attention to Andy Carroll now. Apparently he also have the drinking problem. Capello already issued a reminder to Andy Carroll to drink less.
I think all football fans knows english footballer problem with drinking. Famous names involved such as Tony Adams and Paul Gascoine. I really hope Carroll would change his habit so that it won't affect him for many years to come.
Just read some of the comment on RAWK reagrding this issue. Have to agree with them. Why does Capello has to bring this issue up and focus on Carroll alone when there are many England players with off field issues
I watched Glen played against Wales and I'm not impressed with his defending. Not saying that he is totally crap in defend but he is likely to give away the ball when under pressure/being closed down. I think with his hefty price tag people are expecting more from him.
what u guys think about jose enrique. his move to liverpool seems imminent
LB has always been a problematic position for Liverpool. I think the best player we had in recent time was the old healthy Aurelio. So if this Enrique guy can solve this problem it will be great. If not then, we have to make do with GJ which certainly not the way forward if we really want to push for top 4 next season.
Ey, folks. Luis Garcia's going Bosman! I reckon even at 32 we can bring him back on a pay-per-play, and then give coaching options for him?
Very much like the idea. If Giggs is still playing then why not him. We could use his tricks and technical ability. I bet he can link up well with Suarez. But on the downside, prepare to have a hair-pulling moment when he loses possession
My observation: 1-We insisted on passing and move and patiently building up play and creating our chances.
2-Maxi combined very well with Suarez which KD surely noticed.
3-For our third goal, it's great to see all 3 of our AMs made running into the box which eventually dragged/splitted the defenders and left Maxi unmarked.
4-It also good to see Cole started to earn his wages
