One of the problems I faced with the Wise card is that sometimes, I do not get the cashback for some of the transactions done at the pump.
For some reason, I get cashback for some transactions, but not for some, even though I do all my credit card swipes at the pump kiosk itself.

Yes, there is no "petrol" mentioned in the category column.
Strangely, some have, some don't; even though I always pump at the same station.
I thought it might be a problem with the station itself, so starting this month, I have started to pump at another station, just for comparison.

means some pump is under petrol and some not. if you know which pump is under petrol, perhaps you need to go to the same pump next time if you go to the same station.

Always remember the pump no. and use that always.

Yeah, thought of that too, but the problem is, I don't know which pump is the "good" one.
So, to save me the trouble, I am pumping at another station.

I received a letter from Petron months ago asking me to sms in to transfer from Smiles to Petron Card. After I sms got a confirmation reply. After few days I received my Petron card via normal mail.

you are not alone... i also did not receive any sms nor letter from them although have been a member for years.

You can either go to one of the Petron outlets, fill in the form to transfer the smiles points to the new Petron privilege miles card, get the card ON THE SPOT, or email to Petron and wait for them to send you the new card, which could take around 2-weeks time.

Yup The lady over the counter also told me that the old card will be deactivated automatically after Sept 2014. So better head to any Petron station to change now.
