If you have SMILES card, sometime they'll send promotional info via SMS.

Like swipe XXX amount and get extra YYY points within the month of ZZZ.

On Monday I lost my Smiles card. Then, I called the CS. They said no replacement card can be issued and they blocked the card. They asked me to go to the nearest Petron/Esso/Mobile petrol station and applied for the new card. Also filled up for the point transfer form.

Filled two forms and faxed to them the next. Point transferred within 3 to 6 working days. Today, points are reflected in the new card. Very fast TAT! rclxms.gif

Hi, I need some confirmation from you all. I just got my credit card last Thursday, when i pump petrol at station, total amount was only Rm65, but when I received msg from CIMB, total rm200 was charged on my card. When I called the Credit Card call centre, i was told it is normal if pump outside instead of going to counter? Tht means everytime i pump petrol outside, I'll be charged Rm200 instead of original amount? Then end of the month only I can get my right figure on petrol? Anyone facing this problem before?
*
The RM 200 is the pre-authorization amount. It'll be reversed once the transaction is being cleared (posted to your online statement).

This applies to all petrol brands and all credit and/or debit cards in Malaysia.

That means is all standard? once you pump without over the counter, it will automatically charged RM200 per transaction
5times means RM1000 already? Then end of the month, the balance will show the exactly amount how much we already pumped?
If like this the customer wont feel confuse?
Sorry quite new on this  cry.gif
I appreciate so much for your help here !  rclxm9.gif

Yes it's SOP.

As I said earlier, once the transaction is being cleared (posted to your online statement), the RM 200 will be offset back or reverted.

Whatever amount you paid in the bill is whatever amount your pumped. This RM 200 pre-authorization transaction won't appear in the statement but it'll take up your credit limit.

I lost my smiles card too, went to petrol station and filled up the points transfer form. Until now my points not transferred yet. It has already been around 1-2 months sad.gif

If you submitted the transfer form at the petrol station, you have to wait longer since the petrol station will usually collect till certain period or quantity and bulkly send to the Smiles customer service centre.

If you fax to them, it'll be whole lot faster.

You may call the CS to check if they have received your transfer form.

Platinum..not eligible  sweat.gif How about UOB One? Need to spend a specific amount or xx transactions to waive annual?
*
UON ONE classic needs to swipe for 60x per year in order to waive the annual fee; meaning min 5 swipes per month.

Petrol spending capped at RM 300; meaning max cash rebate this category is RM 300.
