good choice!  thumbup.gif

Mine is second hand, still in excellent condition. Previous owner seldom used it. I also managed to test out his 24mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4g , 70-200mm vr2. Told me he still got 14-24mm at home. Don't know if it's your friend celciuz smile.gif just use it for my cousin's engagement party and now gonna use it for a wedding job. Absolutely love this lens. Really too bad it doesn't have vr.

how about when you guys go outstation and stay in the hotel room with all your gears for 1-2 days ? what i've experienced is the hotel room gets so cold that when you go out and start shooting pics, the lens gets all hazy and blur. easy to get fungus huh ? tongue.gif

Well, if you keep your lens straight away in storage and not let the water vapour evaporate and dry up, chances of fungus is high.

It's usually ok if you your lenses fog when going from cold to warm places since straight away after that you would be using your lens and after 20 minutes or so, the fog disappears which is an indication that the water vapour has already dried up. I usually do not shoot straight away. Coming out of the hotel room, I leave it in my bag to slowly warm up to ambient temperature.

thanks for the great advice.

Change your whole shutter unit and your camera's shutter count will reset to zero.  biggrin.gif

if not mistaken, when u replace the shutter...the old count still remains.
to reset to zero would require accessing the firmware...

I already decided for FX in the first place, even all the lens I bought so far are FX.. and they were all bought before I got my D700.
*
yeah. always better to invest in fx lens first before making the jump to fx body ! smile.gif
