Added on March 20, 2011, 4:54 pmOh ya how can i try lens in BTS Nikon Centre? Need to request one?
*
request lens easy.. just tell them the lens you want test(anyone that works there, got few black shirts and one white shirt guy ;D ) and they will open the cabinet, take out the lens, help you remove your current lens and put the lens you request.. then snap snap snap ;D

color fringe

k thanks.. i just spotted this problem in one of my photos.. i shot my nikon lens cap beside a window indoors today.. and it turns out the brighter area of the word "Nikon" has green colour fringe while the darker part has purplish... what is the cause of this? i cant upload right now though.. no card reader..

have u ever heard of panning? and what are u trying to shoot anyway?is it a fast moving object? i cant understand when u said u r trying to recompose moving subject

usually it happens when u use it wide open. example f1.8/f1.4. it'll go away if u use smaller apertures.

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Mar 20 2011, 08:46 PM)
Nice picture smile.gif
Shooting at wide open apertures usually give colour fringing(CA) smile.gif
*
QUOTE(geekster129 @ Mar 20 2011, 08:49 PM)
N lens usually will solve the "ghosting" problem.

Anyway, Chromatic Abberation happens because the individual Red, Green and Blue light rays were not focused properly, causing color fringe on the edge. I don't know whether this is counted as a lens issue.

3rd photo was cropped from a much larger photo.. that's why quality not very good.. but still the detail not bad considering its a very small portion of the original photo o.o

could be... it is said that a minimum shutter speed of 1/60s is needed to minimize hand shake... I have the same kit as you... You gotta learn from experience... My photos also not very sharp one usually smile.gif

Actually, it is easier to capture sharp images with low MP, because with higher MP you need better lens for it.

Take 18200 for example, it looks ok on D90/D300s 12MP sensor, but looks soft on D7000's 16MP sensor.
*
i stand corrected then.. but i meant like below 10MP ones like D80 and others smile.gif thanks for sharing though.. never knew about that o.o
