i had read someone comment on deka brand, although is cheap but need a better quality one.
300-400 can get a better one? or below 500.

Used alpha, joven and panasonic before.

Alpha, i bought 2 water heater before, funnily just slightly after the warranty period, spoil. I install one, when spoil, i bought another also alpha, then seriously 1 month after the warranty period also spoil. But maybe that's just my luck.

Joven so far so good. My parent's house use for like 5 years already no problem. Still hot and working, except the thing to hang the shower head one spoil after few years.

Panasonic recently new addition to my house, but only used for about 4 months only. So far so good, except sometimes water really not as hot as i would like it to be. bath at night, sometimes the you turn the heat up to max, the water comes out only luke warm.

Just share of min opinion.
I had open the panasonic(U have to open the cover when u are going to fix it at wall). The water pipe include heater tanker are made by copper.
Some brand are made by plastic.(electrolux economic model is. I was purchase and go exchange to Panasonic next day).
From the internal parts quality, I only choose panasonic.

But I do not have chance to open Joven and Alpha caseing, no command on this 2 brand........

If u afraid water temperature not high, choose 3.6kw. Now most of the heater are 3.6KW
If u prefer water with build in pump, please choose new model with "DC pump" it is much quiet than old type AC pump. But I am not sure anout water pressure is satisfy for u? Coz my old panasonic with AC pump reli not big pressure.
After fix to direct water I found water pressure is stronger when I disable the pump.........quite strange.
I was used a old panasonic with pump....reli noise. Now I fix a groundfos pump and disemantle the pump wire at my panasonic heater ^^

If u plan to install more than 3 water heater with pump, why not consider to install water heater w/o pump and install a pump after your tank to support all water heater. It might slligtly expensive, but wroth it loh....

Just my personal opinion

from most of my customers feedbacks, Panasonic is not bad. Many forumers called it PANA. Joven also not bad but Alpha is depending on luck. Alpha's design is the best and liked by most young property owners.

I am using Elton (not related to ELTON JOHN haha) for more than 10 years, so far no problem.

I heard that if u are staying condo, no need with pump. But if landed, u need it.

Is that true?

no....in condo, water tends to be smaller, therefore, usually nit pump

so, whether need pump or not, it depends on how big is the water when you open the pipe (sorry for the bad english, i don't know how to explain in good english sweat.gif )

I got panasonic with pump and alpha (without pump). Alpha is better surprisingly. stronger water pressure. panasonic with pump is noisy and less pressure. Somemore, I installed the panasonic in the master bathroom while the cheaper alpha in the second bathroom. ha ha Will go for alpha in my new house!!!

Most probably the bathroom that u r using alpha is using direct water while masteroom is from water tank. It is impossible for any heater without pump to have better water pressure than one with pump.

U r rite, usually condo do not need pump unless
1) Ur unit is at the top and your condo do not have a master pump. To have strong pressure, ur unit must b minimum 4 floors below the top floor.
2) Ur condo is very old and the pipes from tank to ur unit and the pipes inside ur unit are clogged.

Just turn on some taps in ur unit to test the water pressure, if strong den no nd pump lo.

My water heater (I think Pana) less than two years. Sometimes can hear some noise (maybe from pump?) . Sometimes the heater turn off but pump still working so got water but not hot. After a while the hot water might work normally. What is the advice? Should I change a new one?
