I just went to mid valley during lunch for the maxis xperia arc road show. I am really impressed with the screen and all in an excellent phone. The camera is excellent and there is no lag so the old processor is not going to be a big deal. Gaming maybe... hmm.gif

The problem with Maxis is not the so much about the quality of the line. It's more about the 3GB limit, which to some people (like me) is pathetic.

Did you try browsing the video and picture gallery?

Try swiping left or right repeatedly in the gallery. It will start lagging, a lot.

Like I said, this kind of performance is pretty much on par with the 2010 Android phones, not much better and not much worse. If you are happy with the SGS and the DHD's performance, then you will be happy with the Arc's performance.

But for those who expect the Arc to be better, and it's a reasonable expectation since the Arc is released almost 1 year after the SGS, sadly there will be disappointment.

It may be a disappointment if dual core creep out of our sleeves all a sudden, like the Ipad2. But since we all know about this, it helps prevents people who care enough about the dual core speed from buying it which is all cool and good. People who choose to buy anyway, does not care enough to be bothered. It is not a bad deal really if you minus the Hdmi cable and car charger (life saver?) the price is really good for a one year old tech.

For a phone whore....we have lots in LYN...does it really matter? They are changing phone every 6 months and some even a month. rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

All of a sudden, phone also must care about CPU and GPU. sweat.gif I know there are some lags with some apps but seriously with the hardware fragmentation currently in Android and the situation to be compounded in years to come, shouldn't they be something like a slider bar under settings like we see in the PC game industry to help improve lags, unplayability, etc?

Or.....*drum rolls* a Blizzard Android in the making???
