no news i grab w500 first..whoever come first will be my latest son.. streak, arc or w500.. today only wed..faster come the weekend! cant wait for the feedback after preview launch heart and hand gatal!
So are you attending the launch. Get a hands-on experience
Part 2 : recap the hardware spec and then look at customising/moving icons in the program menu before showing off the email view with preview pane, a feature unique to the Arc.
Uncle Benny, since 2x sell RM2199 vs Arc RM2099, which one you prefer ??
From a specs point and price, Optimus 2X wins. But specs is only a reference point - one needs to feel the phone - its UI and your interaction with it. Has never tested any SE Androids but to date most reviews of present and previous will not get you excited about it. Plus SE's poor history of updates - it is now only for its die-hard fans. However this Arc model seems impressive enough that most web reviews rank it well. Well, we will have a chance to know it better this Saturday.
Thank you for your kind interest in joining this special preview on this coming Saturday (26th Mac). This is your RSVP confirmation and please bare in mind that this is a close event and should you have requested a seat for your partner, he or she should get this email as well based on our record. We apologize that we could not accommodate more than 30 seats due to space constraint and therefore we will only allow those that has done RSVP with us to join this special preview. Kindly take note of this!
If you could not make it this Saturday, please let us know via email latest by tomorrow 12pm so that we can offer to those in the waiting list to attend.
The program for this Saturday would be as follows:-
3:00pm - Arrival & Registration (Please be punctual!) 3:15pm - Welcoming speech by MobileFest & briefing on program run down 3:20pm - Introducing Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc 3:40pm - Product demo, Q&A 4:00pm - Tea break, light & easy and mingling the MobileFest style 5:00pm - End
Venue: The Bee 2A-G, Block K, Jaya One No.72 Jalan Universiti Section 13 PJ
We hope that you guys will enjoy yourself and see all of you this Saturday
Today I receive 3 SMS from 3 separate sellers offering Optimus 2X at RM 2299 to RM 2300. Seems stock in today already in KL. Well, time to compare it with the Arc which hopefully will be under RM 2k

yeah..2x price is ori or ap set? if ap must compare with ap price of arc too..since if rm2099 of arc is true, it will be ori set .. then ap might be cheaper rm100 or more ..
All the available 2X, I believe are brought in from Spore . Official recommended retail price in Spore is S$888 ( about RM 2.1k ) but usually actual retail is lower usually can be up to at least S$50 less

UI is very slick and smooth, no noticeable lag. Build is classy with 2 colors, silver or black like. Will come with hdmi cable and output demo on videos and games impressive.
We have an hour hands on with the 6 sets provided. Just before that we saw the phones accidentally drop from about 4 feet from pedestal onto floor. All survive lah
Eric also demo the EXMOR sensor technogy in the Arc where it could detect and shown on screen an object inside a box. All were invited to test using their phones - samsung,lg, iphone, htc etc and all failed to detect any image
In the photo you will see on screen the hidden object with the ARc detecting it ; of course you dont get to see a sharp display
According to Eric, this technology will means taking night shots withn camera both foreground and background images will be sharp and clear
The official statement from SE : The first batch of models to benefit from the Exmor R technology is the Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and the Xperia Pro. What this means is that these models will be able to take superior quality photos even in low lighting conditions.
For those technically inclined the Exmor R is able to produce these amazing photos because its metal wiring is located beneath the photo diode instead of above it. This results in less loss to image quality. Even with this enhancement the CMOS sensor still retains its low power consumption requirement and its fast operation, making you take more pictures at a faster rate and for a longer period of time.
If you love taking photos then you will definitely love the quality the Xperia models with Exmor R offers. The Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro are all upcoming models from Sony Ericsson which should be released soon.
