hello...can u tell me wat is it mean by the "Display has poor viewing angles" in Main disadvantages?  hmm.gif
*
poor viewing angle? hmm.. i see it as a special feature so people prying on ur screen wont know what ur watching, specially private and confidential stuffs...... so i in my terms, its a +1.. it swhat the owner see is much more important i guess

very bright display..u get the AP set? hows the touch up for the phone? cos i read from oversea's users review. some complain that the painting works is not so good..its like got few little dot especially at the button area.. SE Play also got this problem.. but many ppl told me, if SE's old phone with keypad, normally the paint (silver colour) on the key will just take off very fast..and the paint on the body too then come out the plastic colour or black colour inside.. attached herewith some photos of SE play's touch up problem....so b4 buy, really need to check properly..  blush.gif . hmm.gif

yeah old SE phones tend to do that after a while.. if u dont take good care of it la.. so does other brand...
putting ur phone together with ur car keys/coins inside a jeans pocket or handbag is the most common reason.. keywords , edgy and hard metal..
if u put it inside a safe cover with normal use, im quite sure it'll last longer...

i'm lazy read all pages, anyway have u guys compare Samsung I9100 with Xperia Arc? which is better?
*
if you really into dual core and nothing less, then Arc is definitely not worth considering...
but do consider, Android is not always about what u have, but what you can do with it that counts..
forget bout the dual core and single core thing.. put both phones in your hands, play with it, feel it, look at it and trust your instinct..
im sure ur mind says that dual core is faster, but is it really? can u really feel it?

athough both can do just about the same thing, u definitely have the the bragging rights of having a dual core phone though biggrin.gif which to certain people is quite a big deal..

Out of topic, LG dual core phone 2x official price is RM1799 here ... rclxms.gif
*
its not always bout price or cpu.. design plays an important role too..
and most of the time, normal buyer would make their decision based on the aesthetic factor, not much into technical...
Arc looks more exclusive... LG phones- not sure bout others, but to me its quite dull and plasticky...

I guess there's alot of new android user here.

Battery take some time to be optimize so give the some a week or two.

You can also calibrate battery by deleting batterystat.bin (require root)

Besides that, try battery doctor app from market, drain the phone till <20% then open the app and charge the phone till full.
*
correct.. i was about to mention the same thing..
batter needs to take around 3-5 time full cycle for it to perform at its best..
full cycle mean- fully drained and fully charged in 1 cycle
if u keep charging before it is 0% and unplug the phone before it reaches 100%...then u'll be lookin at a poor battery performance guaranteed..

aint complaining about the battery , merely sharing.

it was for those who keep asking bout the battery life of ur lovely Arc.. it was not directed to u at all biggrin.gif
it would be best to get a report on the battery life at least after a few full cycles of charging, then that would be a better benchmark i think..

furthermore, owners tend to play more with their new phone for the first month.. thus im quite sure it will affect the battery life too...
but after a month or so, that will all change.. u'll see a drastic improvement to battery life.. cos u play with it less... tol tak?
well at least thats how things normally are..

I'm just looking at their ad in The Star today (page 30 of main section). Free accessories listed are only for Hi-Fi wireless headset with FM Radio, HDMI cable, screen protector, car charger + usb cable. Maxis website still not updated with any new info. Will probably get more clarification after going to their roadshow later.

ps. yup, that's me biggrin.gif

hehe.. thought so... finally decide to upgrade to another SE phone? Arc mmg cun pok...

guys .. is it okay to put phones in your shirts pocket?
no need to worry about sar or radiation like that?

since too close to heart or body?
i believe i read that somewhere..
*
to begin with, its not ok to hav a mobile phone near ur body, period...
tha fact is, it emits radiation whether we like it or not...
long term of expose can cause somthing bad to happen...like cancer...

put it in ur shirt pocket = near to your heart/lungs etc
put it in ur front jeans pocket = near to ur manhood
i think best place would be ur back pocket , cos u dont get to hear people get bump cancer often, do u? biggrin.gif
or maybe is becos not so many people put it in their back pocket hmm.gif
