Let me give my analysis on the remaining teams :

1) Barcelona :

Favourite among all teams. Their tiki taka can pass any team to the ground. The English teams have been hit by inconsistencies and injuries and Inter is not as strong as they were last year, so difficult to see who can beat them. Remember that they trashed Real this season as well.

2) Manchester United :

Second favourite. Never dismiss them from any competition. Defensive worries and don't see them being able to beat Barca

3) Inter :

Semi finals is best bet. Not as strong as last year but the team still have what it takes to mingle with the best. Defensive wise is a worry and flip-flop season under Benitez and then Leo not helping a lot of what Mourinho did.

4) Chelsea :

Semis is best bet. Inconsistent season. In their best seasons, they are not able to win it, so will be difficult to see how they can manage this one. However, still stronger than most teams in the draw.

5) Real Madrid :

Quarters or Semis. Very strong squad on paper but cannot hold a candle to Barca or MU even with Mou.

6) Tottenham :

Quarters or Semis. Great first season in CL but their inexperience will cause them to lose out in the final run. Don't see how they can manage against the better teams in Europe in the final run-in.

7) Shakthar :

Dark horses but thats it. Quarters is as far as they go. Don't see them progressing unless draw is favourable (vs Shalke)

7) Shalke04 :

Quarters is already a bonus for them. Don't see them progressing unless draw is favourable (vs Shakthar)

Thanks for your verdict and interested in talking about football.

Agree most of it..but i wont write off Shakthar and Schalke ..
Shakthar tops the table in Arsenal group and kick Roma arse home and away.

Schalke have the likes of Raul who going hot guns currently..his class still there.
And there is Huntellaar etc

Could it be a Shaktar vs Schalke final ? juz like Monaco vs Porto not long ago .. rolleyes.gif

Barcelona : top favorite to grab the title. Had a poor record in English soil. Bear in mind, final will be held in Wembley.

that make one of the English as second favorite

1. Man Utd : Despite doing pretty badly on away turf, no one can ignore the fact they are the most effective in getting results when needed. While Chicarito banging goals like nobody biz, they can afford to rest League top scorer on the bench.

2. Chelsea : my personal fav, but to frank..this is not our best season. But miracle can happen, football is unpredictable. The squad is more than capable if we look on the paper.

Real Madrid : i only can foreseen them been tapau by Barca season in season out. But they have Jose Maorinho so why not?

thats all, i don't really bother bout the rest..

Just an analysis. In football, any team can win it.

However, Arsenal and Roma is not exactly creme de la creme of european football, so would not take too much into it.

Don't see them bettering Barca, MU etc

so inconsistent team is better than consistent team ar?  hmm.gif

history-wise yes, especially for a fans. the team win CL once and never enter the competition for around 10++ years, their fans can still bragging /proud about that achievement for a lifetime.. and i believe the players feel the same too. nobody really remember the finalist loser, or semifinalist regular team year in, year out.

but for the football club and boardroom, nowadays entering CL consistently are very crucial for financial reason /commercial /attraction to new players / club value. in fact, a difference between winner, runner up and semifinalist arent much (prize money). consistency means more money.. we are fans, we didnt really taste that money..

Youre right..

Fans and player are same. Will only remember and cares about honour and achievement.Something to talk about even when you reach 80 years old.

No one going to remember there was a team who very consistent enter champions league for a decade or there was a team who makes alot of money.

Added on March 18, 2011, 1:54 pmAnyone knows the exact Malaysia time for tonight's draw?

Inter can go through final,why?

Because this season they have changed alot because of transition from poor coaching to all attacking style of Leonardo coaching, plus they all got morale boost after Leo appointed to be the coach.

The attacking bit from Leo and inexperience separates him from Mourinho.
Still we were tactically clueless in both legs. Its more like pass to Eto'o and let him do magic. laugh.gif

Saw the schedule on ESPN, its 7 pm - 7.30 pm tonight.
