Streamyx have a "line upgrade"(right..........) for europe till end of the month causing all connections to europe and US to have poor connections. So yea... even my BC2 had a hard time connecting

as long as the HDD doesnt breaks down or have some other issue. I am cool with Green caviars

I am using i5 2500 too, sometimes I play syok syok the game will crash to desktop once in a while. That said, I have not encountered the problem u faced. Maybe you have to look into the setting u made as well as any background program that might be running in your PC especially your anti-virus that would happily decided to scan your PC when you are not even idle
