guys wanna ask...im my temp normal...
at stock speed idle at 33c load at 48c-50c
if oc 5ghz @ 1.45v..idle at 45c load at 60c-65c...
is this temp normal for i7 2600k??
or my heat sensor is spoil??
im using Msi P67a-gd55...

try asking at overclocker united~~there are lots of shifu there
to me, my previous generation i7 is abt the same temp as u, so, no worry dude~~~

really fine??sumthin when using prime95 temp increase up to 78c...
almost 80c...yup..1.45v then multiplier 50...

1.45V is too much already. Try asking at Overclocker's United on the Sandy Bridge thread.

u can try decrease ur vcore to as low as u can, just make sure u pass the prime95 test, but most of the overclocker use LinX for 20 runs to test the system

i dont think phenom2 or other amd core can reach 5.0 or even 4.5Ghz with 1.45 vcore...

well.. why dont u ask at OCu.. and also no one knows the best volt.
it is u, and ur system.. u drop a notch, if survive linX then u can drop more..

if not, then that is the best volt for u.

different batch got different vcore to get stable, just set as low as u can~nobody noe the best vcore for ur batch, u can try google it with ur batch number to see other's vcore as well

Don't need to compare AMD or Intel here. AMD have very high VCore to begin with. They surely need higher VCore to have better OCing. But this doesn't mean they've very high temperature and can't be OC much.

And, yes VCore of 1.45V in the BIOS is too much.
I suggest you to do more researches before you spoiled your system.

Do you get more 6870 CFX performance by OCing? If the boost is little then you don't need to overclock.
