It doesn't cost as much as 150k nowadays for a Mark X.

Mark X only takes in RON97, the direct-injection engine won't do well RON95.
Higher fuel consumption, less power, and said to have affect the engine performance and reliability in long term (with RON95).

The EPS (electronic power steering) of it isn't that reliable after all, it failed after few years of usage.
I changed mine last year August, it costed me a bomb.....

The noise insulation of the vehicle isn't that great after all....
Better than Honda Civic not really that impressive for such an expensive car.

Stock Mark X looks ugly, with bodykit it shall looks pretty good.

Its a pretty good car for sub-100k. An used recond unit shall be available around 120k? for year 2004/2005 model.
Spare parts not really that expensive, most of the wear and tear parts share similiar price with Camry ACV40.

As CooShyRee said, its still a Toyota....

Most of the Malaysia MarkX are 250G v6 engine.
So far I know a friend owned an X with supercharger + NOS.

Others, usually with HKS VAC or Piggyback.
Cosmetically wise, 18" and bumper lips. wink.gif

The car not suit to our climate? care to explain  hmm.gif

I'm operating a workshop myself, thus cheaper in maintenance.
Some of the parts, I import from Singapore myself....

For normal end-user, it will cost a bomb...

This will be subjective to everyone.

At 150k, some choose harrier acu30 recond. Some aiming brand new Sorento.

I feel camry seriously underpower for the 2.0l model. 2.4v is nothing either.
At used market, a year 2004 MarkX is around 120k. A year 2006 camry worth how much?

I do think now, a used markX is good buy. Definitely not sub150k unregistered units
